hey...does anyone here

a) know who Pachamama is
b) specifically honor Pachamama
c) know where i can find information about her and other things to do with Latin American indigenous religions (especially the ones in the Andes)?

the pagan practices of people in South and Central America are one of the biggest influences on my personal religious practices, and Pachamama is the closest i come to having a patron goddess. however, i have a hard time finding information on this sort of thing in books OR websites, and i feel sort of like a silly gringa not knowing what i'm doing or talking about a little better.

does anyone have any information? i speak pretty decent Spanish, if that makes a difference. in fact, that's the only way i've had access to a lot of the information i do have. but anything would be appreciated.

Here is some info and a link my friend

Pachamama is the Andean Goddess Mother Earth. Unlike European notions of God, She is not apart from Earth but the very Earth that gave us life, sustains us and will receive us at the end. There are three rules of Pachamama. First, whenever we are hungry and thirsty, we should remember that Pachamama is hungry and thirsty too; and we should take care of her first. Second, there are times when Pachamama does not want to be touched and we should leave her alone. Third, there are times when Pachamama is sad and wants to be consoled; we should bring her flowers.

hey...you live in southern nh. i do too...kinda. i mean, Tyngsborough is still technically Massachusetts, but it's so close to Nashua, NH that even though the mall is in Nashua the parking lot is in Tyngsborough. besides, there's nothing here, so i spend most of my time in Nashua.

heh...sorry, i got excited....

anyway, thanks for the info!
