Hi there, everyone! I used to read here pretty often last year, but the academic year made it impossible to continue. However, now that the school year is over, I can finally start brushing up on my tarot reading again. I am very excited to start again since reading for other people is so fun! I hope you will all help me better my ability to read cards.

I am taking a different approach to tarot reading now, and I will work only with the twenty card Celtic Cross on this thread. I am hoping to master one spread right now so I hope my preference to use one spread does not bother anyone.

There are, however, two requirements for those being read for:

1) You must provide your astrological sign (I do not need birthdays)
2) You must provide feedback of some sort.

I will post all readings on this thread unless if you request otherwise. I will also send PMs to notify you that your reading has been done, so you guys don't have to check back religiously to see.

I am at the point where I can see what the reason was for most every event in my life, how it made me into the person I am now. My son and his family had to move in with me last summer, his wife was having health problems and doctors couldn't find what was wrong, she could no longer take care of the kids while my son worked, so they moved in with me so I could help her, and they could help me financially. His wife died 2 months and 1 day after they moved in unexpectedly.( from leukemia, somehow the doctors missed that in all those blood tests and stuff they made her take.)

Since the wife died, I have been helping my son raise the young children. Actually, I have been the one raising them because he works long hours, not easy for a grandmother to go back to raising kids, both under 3 years old. My family has been a huge support for me keeping me going, and now my sons new gf helps me out so much with the kids, which has taken enormous pressure off of me, I needed this really bad. I was feeling overwhelmed and alone. Now I can get the breaks from the babies that I need and enjoy the time with them, and work on myself again finally to get back on my path.

OK, this one I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. When my son decided to let me know he had been seeing someone, I didn't handle the news too well. It is the first time in my sons life that we were seriously split and at odds, we are very close! I wasn't ready to have someone take my DIL's place yet, I still had issues over her death to deal with. It turned into quite a nasty battle. I finally decided it was my problem, the kids and all MY pets loved her, which of course made me feel terribly mad! I knew I needed to trust these other influences which I have always trusted, and give her a chance. My son at the same time made me promise to be nice to her, and I did. ( we won't discuss his reaction when I wanted to find a source for sulpher for my annual spring property wards and I asked him if he knew of any sources, his words:" mom, you promised to be nice to her!!!!!!") It has turned out to be better than I could have ever imagined!

I was injured in an on the job construction accident in 2000. I have severe nerve damage, and can't ever go back to construction, and have limitations on me. This babysitting the grandbabies is all I have now, they will be in school in a few more years, I will need to do something, but construction is all I know, and now my restrictions are no walking or standing also, leaving me limited in what to do for employement in a few more years. The attorney I had said my best bet was self-employment of some sort, maybe selling something over the internet or something where I can be off of my feet. I am a hermit by nature, I prefer to be inside my mind exploring, learning. Since my sons family moved in, I don't get that time like I used to, I miss it terribly. I have been finding ways to get that time for myself, I know it is needed. I feel things are changing, and I need this time to sort it all out in order to continue on my path.

The thought of having to depend on my son scares the crap out of me. Really bad. I have never had to really depend on someone else, I have always been very independent, if I want it done right, then I have to do it myself!

Through reaching out for help, you know that you are not alone. There are other people around who are willing to help you gain foresight on the matter. You will not be rushing into new things alone, and this gives you support for the future. You should understand there are people willing to help if you reach out to them.

Advice (Prince of Swords, 7 of Swords): If you approach others wanting to know the truth, you will be able to see through deception and lies. You should move with the intention of being fair, honest, and truthful--and you should demand that of those around you as well. Though the truth can be painful, it is still better to know the truth than to hide it. Rational decisions depend on accurate information. Strive to see things with clarity, and your actions will be similarly honest and fair. Truth is revealed to those who demand to see it.

Outcome (5 of Disks, 6 of Wands): You will find creative and spiritual support even in when there are circumstances that get you down. Majority Cups: The situation at hands deals with emotions, love, family, trust, and dreams. Your current life is preoccupied with the question of receptivity and how much to recieve as well as how to give in the right amount. There is also a strong element of understanding in your life--mostly how to understand your own feelings and those of others. You want to be able to forecast into the future, as painful as that future might be, so you will know how to properly act. There is a basic question in your life--to act or not to act? For you, understanding yourself and your situation will be the main reason for either action or inaction. You hover above the interaction with others and harbor secrets inside your heart. Your situation right now deals less with actual action and more with the turmoil of water moving in restless circles.

Majority 7 and 10: There is a tension between the love of creation and the actual act of physical manifestation. In other words, there are choices laid out before you at every turn, but you are so interested in all of them that you are unable to drive any path to real fruitation--chasing two hares at once. You want movement and action, but you are not unified about what movement and action you want--thus no net gain. You are addled by inaction and bewitched by the vision of product. You don't know how to go about materializing, and you are so interested in materialization that you don't actually drive any of your projects to an end.

Majority Knights: You are surrounded by people who are motivated, strong, influential, and expansive. It immediately becomes clear what they want--yet, their attentions are short-lived and they can change direction quickly. Still, like lightening, they strike with such accuracy and power that you are unable to dismiss them. They act as if they are on fire and with authority and confidence that cannot be ignored. You are confused by their willfulness and you are unsure if you should follow or stay put. Are these ideas they're so riled up about good ones or will they lead to ruin? You don't know who to let in and who to reject.

Self (Magus, 4 of Swords): The seed of harmony between peoples and yourself--though this harmony might be in the form of 'sitting this one out.' You are taking a break from human interactions because you understand this is what you need right now. You see silence, peace, and appeasement to be the only way to continue to multiply your options--in this way you preserve your ability to keep creating and participating. The main problem with this current state is it is one of isolation and superficial peace. It is a fragile situation that can easily degrade into argument and defeat or heartbreak and pain. A temporary compromise has been made, but how long will it be before other people start getting restless and start making fire? You recognize you need to make a choice to act soon.

Opposing Force (8 of Wands, Princess of Cups): You are going against the force of consequence divorced from action. Things you or others have done in the past are still floating in the air, tempting you to come out of temporary retirement early. You need to be in this mode right now, but outside forces are asking you to come out and play. Communications and opportunities are getting you riled up and ready for action--yet, you are not one for fast and flighty action. You worry your own love for luxury and temporary pleasures will get the best of you. You fear that there will be illusions and thus are unwilling to move foreward. There is a chance for transformation in your present, especially a transformation dealing with romance and family, but you do not know if it is wise to take that route.

Foundation (Knight of Cups, Hierophant): The root of our situation is a man who is mature and loving--but almost too much so. He was very mindful of society or religion and did his best to always blend in. He bent easily to anyone who asked for a favor, told him to do something different, etc. He was bad at managing his own affairs because he was prone to giving in halfway through or listening to the advices of other people. He was very good natured and sweet--one with infinite understanding of others--but ultimately someone without the ability to exert his own Will with any real force.

Near Past (Emperor, Queen of Swords): You were faced with the spirit of discipline, authority, vision, and Willfulness in the near-past. The event was very much involved with a woman who was understanding of human interactions. She understood how people can act with deception, and she understood the essence of deception and conflict within herself. With this understanding, she was always able to see through truth and approach human drama with kindness and forgiveness. She could not tolerate lies and dishonesty and was always able to see through these human constructs. There was a conflict involving this woman in the near past--perhaps she was allowed too much power and you felt like your innermost secrets were being examined?

Near Future (5 of Cups, 7 of Disks): You will be disappointed in the near future through the realization of loss and the impatience of growth. This is a very emotional experience, and one of transition. You may be choosing to put some of your emotional needs into motion in the material world--and you might be disappointed by the response. You are very idealistic and you expect emotions to be so slow acting that they do not change at all--this is not true. Dreams, ideals, and feelings are all subject to the tides and ebbs of time. You must also understand that seeds planted in winter will force you to wait until spring to sprout. There are situations that take naturally to a certain time, and there are others that do not. You will find that out in the future. Be mindful of time!

Higher Power (Universe, The Sun): This time of your life is especially preoccupied with the understanding fo the Universe, especially you in relation to it. The Universe is always in a state of change, and it is through this change that stability is achieved--change=stability. In addition, all change is cyclical so what is lost today may well be found in a different incarnation. We all understand this subconsciously, but we are not very consciously aware of this. Now is the time to become aware of how the natural world operates in cycles--how time makes staying in one place impossible. But you will also understand that when the Universe moves, you should move with it--it makes living easier.

Fears (Star, 9 of Disks): You fear losing hope in independence and physical wealth. You don't know if you are ever going to come into your own and throw away the overbearing force of others. You want to go out and get the decorations that tell the world you have done something of worth, merit, and permanence--yet, you fear you will never be able to do this due to inherent weaknesses. Gain plagues your mind and you spend too much time looking for a way of getting some medal of your success. You fear there is no such medal for you and this fear makes you stagnant and fearful of action. You should understand that there is nothing that is permanent in the Universe; time destroys and creates everything. The Star seeks that the end of one thing always means the beginning of another--she sees the great spiral of the Universe. But you do not see this spiral motiong, or at least do not understand it. For you, the Universe is linear and it travels from A to B with a heartlessness that frightens you. You feel losing something is the end of that thing forever. The Universe again tells you that nothing is forever--not even loss.

Allies (10 of Disks, 7 of Cups): Your desire to drive things to completion gives you the power to overthrow the perception of false, temporary pleasures. You have your eye on the ball and that gives you the strength to open your eyes--your real eyes--and see through the veil of illusion. You are addled by the creative spark that has no motion. You have fallen in love with illusion, but you have the love of result that drives you to find motion, energy, and true creativity.

Advice (Knight of Disks, The Fool): You must seek the ability to act with sureness--no matter how slow--and responsibility. You must learn to exert yourself in a way that keeps to its path regardless of hardships and fears. Yet, at the same time, you must understand when to start again. Do not be afraid of the past or future--focus only on the now. Your idle thoughts of the future are turning into plagues that render you immobile. Focus on the actions you are doing here and now and understand how each of these are moving you toward your goal.

Outcome (Hanged Man, 10 of Cups): You will ultimately let go of old patterns and embrace your true place in life and love. You must give up the past in order to embrace the future and the Truth. To progress, you must let go.
