My step-mother might be dying!!

She is only 38 years old. Tuesday she suddenly grew ill and we rushed her to the hospital. Her platelets had for some mysterious reason "exploded" and caused a blood clot between the liver and spleen, complete liver failure, and complete renal failure. She had to be put on dialysis and its been touch and go.

Today she was losing blood and they couldn't figure out why. They just rushed her into emergency surgery and I'm afraid it may not be good.

My step-mother is an amazing woman. I love her like my own mother. Even though she isn't much older than me, she has taken me in like her own daughter. She's been there for me when my real mom hasn't. She loves my babies and is the best grandmother! She makes my dad so happy. I just can't imagine life without her! Please pray for her!!!!

Well, she's out of surgery. They think they got the bleeding under control, but now she has two chest tubes. That's all I know. I'll keep you posted.
