Who else has seen this movie? Personally, I love it. Do you like/dislike Jay, Silent Bob, etc?

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is defintely a funny film, especially if you've seen Mr. Smith's previous movies. :D

I have a strange relationship with that movie, as I went to see it on the afternoon of September 11 - having just found out my parents weren't on any of the flights that went down - so I could laugh at something. It pretty well worked.

I love Kevin Smith - Dogma is my favorite, though.

I love Kevin Smith movies... dreadfully I have not yet seen "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back" ... Silent Bob has a nice voice though ... for those that remember he did speak in "Chasing Amy" ... and I will have to agree that "Dogma" is my fav ... any movie making Alanis Morrisette GOD (esp. seeing that she HAS to keep quiet)

Ehhh, it was good, but not my favorite.

All of Kevin Smith's movies require a certain degree of suspended disbelief in reality... and each one seems to ask for more than the previous one, this one most of all. It was just a little too farcical, and I like my Smith witty, with a touch of dry sarcasm.

Kevin Smith is a genius. He has such a way with dialog. I think "Chasing Amy" is probably my favorite Smith movie. Ooh, and "Clerks." "Clerks" is just classic. You have to see all of his movies to get "Strike Back," though. Otherwise, you don't get everything! I own "Chasing Amy" and "Dogma."

Kevin Smith understands dialogue and how to use the camera and how to portray the actors to get the proper feel for the movie. I have never watched a Kevin Smith film and not felt like I was there ... involved in what was going on ... he has a way of doing that IMO.

I adore Kevin Smiths movies......Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back are 2 of my all time fave movies!!!

I have seen then all so its a lot funnier when you get the "in" jokes rather than just sitting there going "Eh?" like my friend did ;)

I am a HUGE fan of Kev & his movies. So much so, I hang on the Viewaskew site all the friggin time.

Dogma is my favorite one by far. I just got the DVD Special Edition this past weekend. GO BUY IT!!! There is a deleted scene on it that is PRICELESS.

I have nearly all his movies on DVD now, with very few exceptions. But i'm working on it ;)

Not only is Kev an amazing director, he's a very talented writer. Not just movies, but Comics as well. I just recently read his Green Arrow series (waiting for Issue 14 to come out) and I just scored a copy of his "Daredevil" book. Pick them up, it's well worth it.

I guess you can tell I'm a fan by my sig too.

Snoogins!

Whew!!! I thought I was gonna open this thread and see a bunch of slamming going on. Like burning books kind of stuff. Wonder why i thought that????

Anyway I love that movie. It is too funny...my fav is when they are in the Mystery maching with Scoob and the gang. I laughed for hours.

Ill, you just weren't in the right "frame of mind" my friend. Try again sometime!

I'm the only person in my family who got Dogma. Must be adopted....

Therefore I'm still waiting on Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back so I can watch it in peace.....

*wants a Catholicism WOW! t-shirt*

Think a Buddy Jesus would look good next to my Hula Betty Boop on my dashboard? :rotfl:

We (eshallet & I) bought his brother, who's Born Again, a Buddy Christ as a gag gift last year. He laughed, but I don't think his fiance liked it very much.

My favorite part of J&SBSB is near the end, when they are fighting Mark Hamill with the "bong sabers"

OH! and anyone interested click here: Viewaskew (http://www.viewaskew.com)

All things Viewaskew & a link to their store in Red Bank (which I want to make a trek to), called Jay & Silent Bob Secret Stash. You can get the "Catholism WOW" shirt there among other fun stuff from the Viewaskewniverse, and comics, and movies......

Sorry, I'm pimping Smith stuff now.
