This time our non-profit publication sports over 70 pages filled to the rim with awesome articles. Many thanks to all the volunteers: authors, editors, artists and everyone else on the staff!

The MWMagazine has its own web address now!
http://www.mysticwicksmagazine.com/

Of course you can still reach it using the original address:
http://mwm.mysticwicks.com/

Both addresses point to the same place; no need to bookmark them both. ;)

If you run into any trouble using the MWM web site, please post in the dedicated thread in the Site Room.

Good stuff! My only question is, who does the photography? :) It'd be nice to see photo credits to accompany.

I love this issue!
But maybe I am a little (just a little) biased.

I think I'll have to start brainstorming for my contributions to the next...

I think all the photos that are used are royalty free stock type pics.

But--we'll take some from you!

What's starband?

A satellite-band ISP

Oh great. I've been doing some reading on Starband's service. Yes I have a solution, and no you're not going to like it. Short from Autumn switching to a better behaving provider, we could opt to publish the magazine articles in html pur sang, besides their pdf version. Why won't you like it? Because that will double the layout time.

okay--how about an option to buy a pdf issue of the magazine? just wondering...

I don't think we have enough people on starband to make it worth the time and trouble to do an html layout, too.

We already have such an option, it's called "Paid subscription to MW". However I doubt it will solve the Starband problems.

~Elise~

but some may not want to subcribe to MW on an ongoing basis but would be interested in receiving the single pdf of the magazine. Don't know how much interest there would be in this--it was just a thought.

why wouldn't they be able to read a downloaded pdf on their computer once they had it on their harddrive??? Or will starband not download at all--just uploads?

Tanya

I didn't see the poetry section.
Is it in the 'subcription only version? (because of my naughty content?)

Just for my own records,I need to know if my work has been used or not.

Cheers

Your Pagan Traveler and Poetry by Misericorde are Subscriber-only based on content. (which I don't consider naughty-just adult in nature)

Maybe mol can create a Magazine subscription plan?

The problem is in Starband's downloading. It's flakey. In effect, us publishing the magazine as PDF (and everyone else publishing big files on the net) are seen as a problem by lots of people using Starband. We can cater to this by publishing in pure text or pure html. People publishing movies and music can't do that.

Tanya

so the poetry content I put in isn't there?
