Advice for Atheists: Marriage, Family, Children, Religion, and More
People have a lot of questions about atheism and atheists, but such questions don't just come from theists. Atheists also have questions - not only about the nature of atheism and what other atheists think, but about how they should deal with theists, how to deal with telling others about their atheism, marriages, funerals, children, etc.

http://atheism.about.com/od/adviceforatheists/Advice_for_Atheists_Marriage_Family_Children_Religion_and_More.htmI haven't explored this as much as I should but it really looks like they copver a lot of interesting topics.

But, It does seem to me that atheists do face a lot of unique challenges and need advice from time to time.

If you have some advice, please, add it here.

I wish I had something to share but I never had a problem with my atheism in my life.
But I don't give a hoot what people think either.
Family, all I have are in-laws and I don't give a hoot what they think.
I disowned my family back in the 70's. I don't waist my time trying to live in others eyes, even if their blood.

Friends, I only have friends that practice mutual respect or they wouldn't be my friends.

People who are not friends or family I really care less about their opinions, heck I don't care a all.

And work, I found its better received to be known an atheist than to be of another minority religion. Around here co-workers and bosses seem to be able to except, "oh, you don't believe in anything" then "you believe in what?"

I am lucky with friends, the few I have don't give a hoot as much as I don't so we have no prob being friends, cause we don't give a hoot!!! LOL
The best part none of us expects or wants a dam thing from the other!! And its ok because we don't give a rats butt!! :dancy:
