To all Pagans,
Merry Meet, My name is Jenna Moondancer, and I would like to share a dream with you. I am in the beginning stages of creating a pagan temple. I have included our mission statement below and hope that you find it as exciting as I do. I would like to hear from any interested parties. We are going to be in need of volunteers, congregation members, and anyone else interested in this dream will be welcome. Soon we will have a public website with much more information available. But until then please feel free to contact me with questions, comments, and any advice at JennaMoondancer@hotmail.com .

Mission Statement

It is our intent to form a pagan-based ecumenical congregation to provide the pagan community with an established place of worship. It is also our intent that through this ministry we can provide resources such as enrichment courses for adults, general schooling for their children, places of worship for various pagan groups, and a source of pagan materials. It is also our intent to provide outreach services for troubled pagans seeking an understanding support structure to help deal with their problems.

We believe that through an earth-based spiritual commitment we can help bring the pagan movement into the mainstream, that will eventually through hard work and commitment, allow pagans to freely express their religious views, without harassment from the general public. We hope that by working with local communities we can be seen as a valuable addition to the religious community, by fostering trust and respect.

While it is not our intent to evangelize we also hope to provide those seeking information on pagan paths with what they need in order to provide a safe, learning environment. To allow those seeking spiritual enlightenment to make informed, un-pressured judgments on where they wish their lives to go.

We intend to provide a physical haven for pagan gatherings such as sacred rites, festivals, and educational seminars. We hope to create a spiritual, reverent environment that encourages spiritual expression. In doing this we hope to foster good relations between pagan groups, and other religious communities by proving our commitment to a peaceful community.

We are committed to this vision.
Love and Brightest Blessings,
Jenna Moondancer

Just for interest's sake, there's another thread around here on Pagan temples or schools. I believe it's in Theology & Philosophy.

It is a great idea. Although I will admit I do find one thing slightly funny about it and that is that my wife and I have been working on the same kind of thing. Small world. Perhaps it may be beneficial on both of our behalves if we were to collaberate and share ideas?

an interesting project, and i salute your efforts.
personally though, my feeling is that the Pagan community already has the largest temple imaginable. i'm referring to any beach, forest, mountain glade or park. these are available to anyone, and are much more powerful than any building could be.
but it is a noble project, and i wish you (both) good luck.

and to echo Earthcup, where will this temple be located?

Thank you all for your responses. Yes we are interested in sharing ideas. Right now we are located in Northern Va and the physical temple willbe there. We are also establishing an online presence and willbe making most of our courses available through that site. We are in the planning stages and any ideas, suggestions, and comments are welcome. You can contact me at JennaMoondancer@hotmail.com or my partner t.lucia@starpower.net . We will be happy to answer any questions. Thanks again for your interest.
