I don't know whether this is the right place to start this thread, but I've been readin a bit about the path of Demonolatry and I think i have the basic round up of it.
I'.e. ' instead of worshipping what wiccans would class as the 'lighter' deities they worship Demons and some...not all Satan. (I think that's right if not then sorry)
I was just wondering if anyone else knew of this path or better still if anyone follows this path and if so explain it a bit more to me!
Thankyou!!

Thankyou!!
I still don't get it...is it actually another form of Satanism?
They mention him and obviously Demons . But by the sounds of it not all worship him, they find their own demon almost like a spirit guide or watcher and ask them to help them as we would Gods and Goddesses.
But surely invoking and asking 'favors' and guidance of such things is unwise I mean how do you know they wouldn't be tricking you?. Could you really trust them?

Ahh I love google!

I found this from the link down below!!

What is Demonolatry? Demonolatry is the worship of Demons. It is both an old and a new religion, based upon the worship of the Nine Demonic Divinities, the patron or matron and/or other Demons of the individual or sect's choice. The Demons are another part of ourselves, a counter-part or opposite of which we work with to place ourselves into the proper balance.

From what I know, Demonolatry isn't Satanism, I think some do have Satan included in their personal pantheons and some do not, but it's more the worship of demons (and, for me, Satan is more of a god).

I've also heard, some Demonolater's(sp?) don't just worship demons from Christian or Jewish or Islamic sources, but also from other cultures and religions (e.g. Hinduism, Buddhism, etc).

BTW, from what I've heard, you should take the OFS site with some salt, as apparantly, the owner is not the be all and end all of Demonolatry, this comes from a source I trust, who apparantly knows the owner.

Here's what they said about the OFS:

I'd look at their website and take it with a grain of
salt, as you should with anything. Compare it to others you find.
You'll see quickly that they're not all that organized like some other
LHPers are and some are far more serious then others. You'll know a
no-crap Demonolatry site when you see it because it'll be cut and dry,
without the typical self justification found throughout lesser LHP
sites and it'll likewise address the subject honestly

I think this is also a good Demonolatry site, Deamon Magick (http://www.angelfire.com/goth/DeamonMagick/index.html), unfortunely, this is all that's left of the site, but I think it's a good primer (even though I'm not a Demonolator myself).

There aren't too many Demonolatry sites around, and the OFS is the largest one, but like what the person said, take it with some salt and try and compare it with others (but if the OFS works for you, go for it, just remember keep your brain working, you shouldn't trust anyone or anything 100% ;)).

Or if you wanted to build a practice without joining an existing group, one way is to just research demons really in depth - like what they are, what they can do, likes, dislikes, etc, perhaps from a culture or religion that interests you, and build it up that way, building an relationship (or relationships) with a demon(s).

Hope that helps :).

Wow! Thankyou!
I'm not personally wanting to go down this path myself it was just something I've stumbled across and wanted to find more info about, and as you've said there doesn't seem to be much on it.
I'm just findin it a new and interesting path i want to know more about.
So thankyou for that :)
