I love stones! I am contented to cling to rose quartz, or that nice tigerseye that m'love gave me, or perhaps the bluelace agate I bought, or even that odd bit of quartz, so used that it cracked inside yet did not shatter, that I found years and years ago.

I recently bought a new stone, a beautiful green one that m'love picked up and instantly knew was mine, at the store.

Little problem is. . . I didn't catch what she called it! I think she said something like "adventurite". . . is that right? It's a very pretty dark green stone, with shots of glitteryness in it, sort of reminds me of lapis lazuli, only green! (and doesn't feel the same). Something she also said about it was that it was good for money or attracting wealth. . . the odd thing is, the day I bought it, I had applied for a job. . . I tucked in my shirt and wore it today to the interview - I was hired on the spot! I happen to know that some more-qualified people were available for the job. . . was it luck, or magick?

So. . . anybody know what this pretty stone is? And any good websites with descriptions of stones and their meanings? (the more detailed, the better! ;) )

Thanks guys!

Puma, I am going to guess it's adventurine. It is used for success. Does it look like this: http://www.jewellery-with-meaning.com/adventurine.htm ? Although it is my experience that adventurine is usually darker than what is in the picture.

Adventurine was my guess too. Maybe it's the light in the picture, but yes, mine is darker too.

My grandfather is a chemist and avid rock collector. It's amazing how much stuff I've picked up from him even though I've never been as interested myself. :D

One of my sisters (in law) is a geologist, so there's all these big chunks with garnet and stuff in them at my mom in law's house.
