I found the perfect job. We're getting new management where I work now and everybody's hours are getting cut. I need my full time and have been looking for a new job for awhile but haven't found anything. Until now. And it's perfect! Since the management is changing at my current job I can get out of there within the next week and not having to worry about 2 weeks notice. The new job has a good benefit package - something my current job doesn't have at all. It's close to where I live... just too good to be a coincidence.

So now I just have to land this new job. I'm lacking in experience in that specific position but have lots of translating skills and experience. Soooo, to get to the point; Is there some candle I can burn, some rune to chant, some little itty bitty spell I can do just to boost my chances a bit?

I find making up a chant helps in the confidence department. You could hold a candle and visualize yourself in the job you want and then let the candle burn all the way before putting in your application.

What you make up might work better than anything I could suggest..:D

Sending some good luck energy your way! :sunny:

As with sooooooo many situations, I'd use Runecharm #1... be specific in stating your desired outcome...

Why dont you just have a talk with the supervisor.
If I were the sup, I would find your enthusiasm useful.
I would always want to hire someone who had to work up to the position a bit. So maybe you lack of experience would work to your advantage. You seem to have good communication skills.

My spell recommendation, gather some earth, plant a seed and have a conversation with this whole process. You are the soil/seed growing to this new position...remember as within..so without. what happens to the soil/seed happens to you.

the other recommendations are valid as well....
Have fun....

As always, I am an advocate of ordinary, human methods (without use of magick.) I agree with MasterMoon's recommendation to simply show enthusiasm for the position. Just impress your new boss with your ability and personal skills, and everything will work out fine. Make sure to be carrying a Wall Street Journal. Remember that commercial where the guy got promoted to VP? :D
