A quick question...

What does the celtic cross symbolize? Not the equal armed- cross but the actual Christian cross with a circle around the spot where the arms meet? do you know what i'm describing? I bought one because I thought it was sooo pretty and I'm wondering - is it just a christian cross or does the celtic design add anything to its meaning?

thaks, *ULA*

Hi ULA,

McMurraugh-Kavanaugh & McGill hows that for an Irish / Scottish bloodline? :D

Go to www.celtarts.com/celtic.htm

This was the best explanation I ever found on my heritage travels over the years.

I have a celtic cross on a genuine piece of slate from a roof in Ireland. I agree with you ULA, it is a very beautiful piece of art. I have mine in my garden out back. It's all weathered now, so it is kind of pale peach almost, around the corners and such, on the dark slate color, its neat.

Enjoy your new treasure! :)
