View Full Version : Spell to keep someone home....

Hey guys......long time no post and I am sorry for not dropping by as much....
but I was hoping someone could help me out here.....I was wondering if there is a spell from keeping someone form leaving their home. I don't want my mom and dad to leave for a trip (its a crappy wedding) in about a month or so and no matter how many times I have told them I think it's not a great idea they laugh me off and tell me they are still going on this trip.
I'm not a superstitious person but I don't tell everyone my dreams because more often than not they come to fruition. So is there a tiny spell where I can cast to postpone this trip they want to make out in August or so.... or some way to make the reason of the trip go kaput....so they won't go....
sorry for sounding crazy...but wondering if such a spell like this even exists....
thanks for the help in advance.....

There are a lot of different spells that would work, but perhaps first you should do a reading, or have one done, to explore the reasons for why they should or shouldn't go. Is this just insecurity on your part? Or is there real danger to them?
And even if there is a real danger to them, at some point you have to simply let people live their own lives, even if you are sure they are making a mistake in doing something.

I have to agree,
if it is to be it is to be.
It's their lives not yours, no matter how intertwined they are.
Maybe instead of fretting you could do a protective blessing?
*shrugs*
Just putting it out there,
and I hope that your fears are not realized..

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and say let them be ... sorry.

Sounds more like you should weave protection around them.

The only spell that would be foolproof are office chairs and duct tape. They may not thank you for the kidnapping though...

You guys are all right and I have totally spoken to them and asked (ok begged them) numerous times not to go. But why do I have to stand back and watch the crap hit the fan when it doesn't need to or when I can inject a twinge of protection or even bind them to the darn house....just this once
I don't want to ever pay to close attention to my dreams all the darn time but geesh lately my health went south and little did I realize my dreams forewarned me and I just did the yeah right whatever dance.... not to sound trivial.
I am 31 one and believe you me I am far from clingy especially towards my parents yes I love them, but I have 2 readings done one was tarot and one was clairvoyant and twice I got stuff that I just did not want to hear (that they really should not attend this lil trip) but I took it with a grain of salt .
So any protection or binding oriented spells I would truly appreciate....to whomever wants to help me out... not expecting spells right here and right now...to who ever wnats to contribute many blessings to you for hearing me out....and to the others I really do appreciate the all the kind advice I am taking all of it under consideration...many blessing to you all also...

I will gladly send protection energy their way. I also fell the advice you were given is best. You can not interfere with others free will. I will even say a prayer for their safe arrival and a safe return.

I also agree with the advice here. Sometimes we are just not supposed to "play god"is the only way I can think of to say it. Send protection yes. If something does happen, put away the I told you so's and send them comfort and strength to get through whatever lesson they must learn from it. It is part of the responsibilities we have for having the abilities we have! It doesn't give us permission to interfere, but it helps us be prepared for what may happen, so we can get ourselves in a position to send energy for whatever they may need it for. If you are all stressed out from worrying, you won't have the strength to help when it is needed.
Did they prevent you from doing things where you may get hurt as you were growing up? If they did, you wouldn't be able to walk, go to school, play outside or play any sports, cross a street by yourself..........sometimes you have to allow things to happen, and be there to help pick up the pieces when disaster strikes.
If you know how to shield, then you can probably manage a nice bit of protection for them.

It's not your palce to decide their fate. You've warned them, let them do what they want. That's life.

Ouch and Oy vey....I will let them lead their life no worries but will still try a protection binding spell googling for one as we speak....... but is it wrong to have an ounce of insurance for their safety.... nevermind I say 250% yes to that while everyone else will bellow something else at me :(

People are willful creatures. If you are concerned for their safety, do not work against them, work with them. It will get you a lot farther. If they want to go, let them go. You'll save yourself a lot of energy and resources this way. Instead, work with what you have, which is them going as they wish.
To this end, protection magic; particularly safe travel (if the concern is for them while traveling and not while at the event) will be your best bet. It's focusing all your energy on dealing with problem rather than the problem and their own willful natures (which is what you're doing when you try to keep them home).

Unless they decide to rent a car.

Aidron...rent a car no worries I would collect their credit cards & ATM cards from them....LOL kidding...
Rick.....LOL....don't you think I already thought about letting the air outta the tires and spark plugs trick...listen I come from a very long line of car repair mechanics in my family. I have thought about the duct tape and chairs but I want them to live but this dream scared the crap outta me and I never repeat dreams if I feel they aren't so good. My dreams tend to manifest no matter how long and I hate that.
But I am open to any protection or binding spells (NO NO just kidding) spells that you guys could share with me please....:fpraise:
Thanks again for listening.....

Just because you know something doesn't mean your necessarily suppose to change it, or will even be able too.
That also doesn't mean you cant try.
Hope your efforts work out.
Your worry alone, I can see helping to protect. Use that. :)

when my grandma went to FL. I cast a protective spell for safe travel the night before she left, with her pic on my altar, if you're worried then maybe you should try weaving some protection, or slipping a protective charm discreetly into their bags, car or at home after they went down the driveway.

If you're really concerned I suppose you could always just bash them over the head with a baseball bat...:P

aluokaloo83 Ouch.... a baseball bat is a bit much for me sorry....
But I am thinking of throwing a protective charm in there luggage somewhere where they can't find it...(they would freak out if they knew I practice magick) so does any one have any suggestions...... what type of charm/protective talisman I could use...any simple protection spells that i can perform as well?
Again thanks for listening to me and making me laugh and for all the great help.....

Make them a subtle little air freshener...
and tell them you hope it helps them to relax on the car ride.

Instead of binding them and keeping them from a celebration, why don't you do a protective spell for travelers?
Calamus root and plantain are two herbs that together work extremely well to protect travelers...why not add a tigers eye stone to the mix, maybe a little mars astrological ointment.
Are they traveling by car-- rieve the inside of the car, incense it, sprinkle salt around the interior, anoint the tires, doors, front and back bumpers with a protection oil.
Make a little mojo bag to hang from the rear view mirror with protective herbs and stones it it...create talismans (such as I have in my own vehicle) with protective sigils on them-- consecrate them by the four elements and place them beneath the seats.
There are virtually endless ideas for protecting travelers.
Blessings,
Amythyst

As a person that's been on the receiving end of this kinda crap, having been hit with binding spells resulting in the loss of jobs, friendships and a chance of standing on my own two feet more than a few times, whenever I tried to leave home because a witch "friend" decided it wasn't in my best interest. I have to ask.
WHO IN THE GODS NAMES DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?
Oh boo hoo you had a bad dream and just because they wont bow to your witchyness you decided to elect yourself Goddess over there lives and bend it to your will.
But of course your screwing something they are obviously looking forward to over "for the mundies own good." After all there mundies, they don't know the how your great dream powers always tell you something is going wrong. So since they wont listen to there magickal better you've elected to try and slap them into place via a binding.

Russ,
Below is an example of attacking the poster and not the post. Personal attacks are not in keeping with the Respect rule. It is fine to disagree, but try to contain that disagreement to the post itself and not attack the poster.
Thank you

Guys I apologize for any trouble I may have cause here. I was trying to ask a question nothing more and I may have gone a bit over board trying to explain the back story of why I needed a protective or binding spell that's all.
I am very sorry. But again I do appreciate everyone one's help and advice and I always take under consideration.
Blessings to all.

I don't think that interfering with anyone's free will is a good idea..but..there are different levels of importance. For ex: stopping someone from getting married or obtaining a job to further their career would be wrong. But stopping someone from attending a wedding?? That would be a matter of personal opinion. Anyway, there was absolutely NOTHING WRONG IN ASKING!:goodgrief

What happened to them in your dream, if you do not mind me asking? A car wreck, or just having a bad time? If you foresaw a problem with the car, maybe you could get it into a mechanic or loan them your own car. Protection spells can be helpful, so will asking the gods for their safety during the trip. If you're really concerned, now may be the time to make a BIG offering to your gods, something more than milk and cookies.
If fate or the gods have decided this is something that must happen, there is nothing you can do that will change it, though it is worth a try. Sometimes we are shown things not to create change, but simply to prepare us for it.
Good luck!
