Hello everyone!

I am going to draw some cards and I want you to tell me how they relate to what is going on in your life at the moment, or in the recent past. :D I'm am just picking a name from the list I have done a one card reading for tonight and drawing a card off the top of my deck as it sits right now.

The keywords: Teamwork, planning, competence.

(remember, not all of the keywords may fit.....take the one you associate the most with!)

For me it would be planning. (in the area of my love life and my financial plan!) I always have something in the fire! I work hard to achieve my goals. I have a plan and I am working meticulously to see it through! I don't know if the out come will be as I desire, but I am doing everything I can make it manifest that way! I am using forethought, and exercising patience to see it through to the end.

Advice I would give....hmmm.....I would say that all work and no play..... :D Be cautious about what it is you are planning. If it's a big project, ask for help. Do your best to reach set goals and take your time to make sure it is done right the first time.

Okay. There! That wasn't so bad!

I have the Robin Wood deck. I cheated and looked up the keywords.(sorry) I am not feeling overly articulate tonight, but I will give it a whirl. (I am still trying to catch up with you all :))
Anyway, The last few days have consisted of me trying to pick myself back up out of the dumps.(sometimes successful, sometimes not) I am really trying to explore my inner self and find out where I am hiding,(hope that makes sense) I also decided to jump into something I have been putting off for awhile because it will be a long arduous struggle for those who are trying to do it alone right now and I have some experience in this area, so I have offered some guidance.
That is all I can think of off the top of my brain at the moment. I am however, going to sleep on it and post some more tomorrow. I think this was a wonderful idea Dag! Thanks. :)

A card of conflict and upheavel. Currently I am unemployed and have been searching hard for work but nothing has come yet. I have sort of withdrawn a bit and have been falling back into somewhat of a reclusive state.

I have started a business in retial dist. but have been able to do nothing with it due to finances.

Battling alcohol addiction since Sep has been dificult, at best and I do suffer periodic relapses because I allow stress to take hold of me.

With my spiritual father passing, a resent divorce, having to get a new car next month and faced with moving the month after that, this has been a complete time on conflict. Not to mention the IRS.

Ace of Swords ~ fits well and this little one has been popping up quite allot for the last two weeks!!
This is a tricky one though because its an Ace ~ which is like a fool when appears in a spread ~ can mean a new begining ~ one way or the other and then as its swords (yuck) can also be good communication or bad... depending on the cards around it..

keywords ~ New beginings in communication, a solid way of acting with others, power behind your words, confidence with others, self belief or the need to be by ones self.

How do you see the card drawn for you fitting into your life?
This card fits for this week ~ I have been getting it in readings as a future card ~ because I have been going through a bit of a durbulant time with loved ones and my communication skills havent really been on the best of form! With being ill and emotional troubles. But I am starting to feel allot more like my old self again, words are flowing once more and I have all my old self confidence back again!

What advice would you give a client about this card if it were in a reading?
Depending on the surrounding cards I would tell them to believe and have confidence in themself and others. Communicate and get out of your shell. That they are great at talking to and listening to others. They have a compassion that everyone is drawn to.
I would tell them that a new phase/start in communication with others or their loved ones (surrounding cards) will be coming soon and this will lead to a much more solid, happy content outlook (depending on the cards again).

9 of Pentacles keywords: Discipline, Self-Reliance, Refinement

Looks like I need to depend on myself this week. i need to take control of myself and work for myself. I need to make the time to pamper myself because I've let others control what I've been doing, even on my birthday! Maybe even take time and meditate, wich I don't get to do.

Was that ok? I know it was in the wrong person but I couldn't see myself reading for anyone else. I've never done this before but it felt right. Any other insight would be appreciated. :)

Keywords: The East, Springtime, New Beginnings, Studies, Communication.

I have the Witch's Tarot deck, and the Princess, Prince, Queen & King are used as modifiers. But here's what has been happening in my life.

For a very long time I've been afraid of what I believe in and have tried to dance around that fear by pleasing others.

After the bierth of my second son 15 years after the first son (with no children inbetween), something snapped inside - which resulted in my going to a therapist.

I've learned alot about myself, and see this card as a need to communicate with myself and to follow my heart. That's how I found my way here. :)

Advice I would give would dependupon the next card drawn. The Queen of Wands is like a seed beginning to sprout-what is modified is starting to grow.

There are times when I feel that the relationship I am in has run its course. Sometimes I think we have nothing at all in common... :( it can be very OPPRESSIVE and STRAINING

I am also working on my MA in English and will be soon looking for a spot in a Medieval Studies program for PhD and this is not only OPPRESSIVE in itself, it causes a great deal of friction between the SO and I becuase he doesn't want to "live his life through books"...Not that I do...but that is his perception

Not that I am saying he is wrong...I am OPPRESSED and CONSUMED, but that just makes me wonder if we are really suited...after 4.5 years, you would think I would know!

Did I mention the word OPRESSED? But it is important to note it is a self impossed Opression!

Great responses out there! ....and did I hear someone say Oppressed?? :) ~~I can see where you're coming from though.

Court cards need/are modifiers....hmmm..... I have the witches tarot, but not the book for that deck. Maybe I'll have to splurge a little, and see if it will help me with that deck. Court cards are always tough for me anyways.
