Bearlady and I have been trying to pick out a date for us to tie the knot for a while. We have consulted all sorts of calendars and almanacs, asked the spirits (and our friends) for guidance, and are still confused.

The day would need to be on a weekend, in the spring or fall. This is because we are going to do an out door ceremony and summer is to hot and winter is just to cold here in the mountains.

Please post your reply, along with the reasoning behind it, here on this thread. We would like it to be during a favorable (waxing) moon, with any other good signs that fall into place.

Thank you in advance for your time and effort in this matter. We will keep you updated with more details as we hammer them out.

Fall, pick Fall. I myself have always wanted a Samhein wedding, the biggest complaint everyone has is what to wear and that they will never wear it again.

Well costumes are the answer, especially for the Bride and groom because nothing would be too wierd.

The colours and tables settings would be awesome. Pumkins, coloured leaves, yep yep, thats my vote.

Thanks for the reply. Fall is such a beautiful time of year, with the Holiday there also. As we are hoping to be outdoors the back drop of the turning of the leaves could symbolize this turning point in our journey. We don't need to worry about the attire, most of our those on the guests list don't have much need for costumes. Its not the clothes but the content that makes one beautiful.
Bearlady has been making her dress for over a year and I'll be in a suit. Every one else is welcome in jeans and a t shirt or what ever they are comfortable in. We hope to be out of town far enough that cell phones won't work.
Thanks again for the word.

Live long
and
Blessed Be.

How about picking what 'you' both want?

I'm actually getting married this year on October 28th. It would've been Samhain night but that falls on a week day and not many people could make that. Good luck with your wedding.
