Mom's gambling....

My mom has a gambling addiction. We've lost our house, she's in financial ruin, and I could be in financial trouble too because I let her use one of my unused credit cards to pay some bills (she maxed it out, although she's been making the payments on time). But this weekend she went gambling and now the check she made for the credit card payment is going to bounce. She says she can't work up the guts to call Gambler's Anonymous but she needs to get some kind of help. Can anyone spare some energy to help my mom get the help she needs?

I will certainly send some energy your way, but honestly I think you should take over the credit card payments and refuse to give your mother another cent until she works up the courage to call GA. Best wishes, hope your mom gets her life together.

Thank you all for your energy and prayers. She hasn't called G.A. but she hasn't gone gambling either. Luckily the bank covered the check she bounced so no extra credit card charges.
