Reading Myst's thread got me thinking back to when I was pregnant. I remembered the one craving I had. It was for red jello. And of course, it happened in the middle of the night. :D My poor hubby went to the store & came back with a box of red jello. He didn't realize that you have to make it first & then let it set for 24 hours. I really wanted the jello NOW. 8O So I just drank the stuff. Heh!

ROTFLMAO!!

With Scott, I craved greasy breakfasts. Now, normally I am not a b-fast person at all. Toast is about it, or a slim fast bar. I made hubby take me to a diner and ordered a huge omelete, sausage, home fries, and then ate half of his! We knew something was up then. He drove me right over to the drugstore and made me buy a pg test lol!

With Caitlyn, I craved sweets, big time. With Scott I gained 40+ pounds of mostly water weight, Caitlyn was 40+ pounds of donut weight, he he. Hormonally, I was much worse off with her too. My hair frizzed, nails split, face broke out. With Scott, none of that happened. I thought I looked darn good, at least until the end. ;)

 Chris, your breakfast story reminds me of when we first found out I was pregnant. It was a hot hot Saturday & we were going to a friend's wedding. I didn't eat breakfast...no time. All through the ceremony, I was just SO hungry! I ate all the breath mints I had in my purse. I was an absolute bear! I had to eat immediately! The reception was after the wedding but it was 1/2 hour drive. I made my hubby pull into the nearest McDonalds. I think I jumped out of the car before it stopped. He went to park the car while I went to order. By the time he came in, I was halfway through my hamburger. I was still standing at the counter, waiting for the rest of the order. You can imagine the looks we got...he's in a tuxedo & I'm in a fancy dress, all decked out for a wedding, standing at the counter, wolfing down this hamburger. Everyone else was in t-shirts & shorts.

The need to eat was really something! :D That was our first clue.

So far I haven't had cravings (I'm sure that'll come lol), the only thing I notice is that the baby may be the size of an apple seed right now but I swear when it's hungry it starts yanking on my ovaries. HEY YOU UP THERE, EAT SOMETHING!

I can eat 3 meals a day but still need something *immediately* upon waking up (saltines by the bed) while I figure out breakfast, something to eat between breakfast and lunch, something to eat a couple hours after lunch, snack after supper, etc. Heck it's 5 to 5 and I'm digging for food *while* I put supper in the oven.

Yeah, I remember that primordal urge to eat! It's like if you don't eat something quick, someone's gonna die & it won't be you. Heheh!

I have a craving story that can top most. I was 4 months pregnant at the time of our wedding. The night before the wedding we had our traditional wedding party dinner and I single handedly INHALED 2 whole lbs of crayfish!! My poor hubby turned slightly green just watching me eat! 8O

I was so sick, I didn't crave anything. LOL.

But I remember my Mom's craving...the only one she seemed to have with my little sister, was Chopped Ice. The kind you get in the hospital..tiny ice chips. That's ALL she wanted, and my dad used to have to run all over to find her finely chopped ice (chopping ice in the food processor apparently wasn't good enough for mom). He used to go into Friendly's to get it. They thought he was insane.

When my friend was pregnant, she craved Calimari, and bloody steak. But..she's a vegetarian..lol.
