Do you have a yard? Tell us about it.
Are you picky about your yard?
Do you have any current projects going?
Do you grow out of pots? (if you do not have a yard or just like them)

I have just under 5 acres, all heavily wooded but my front and back yard areas. I am very picky, NO ONE cuts the grass but me, I know where everything is, and care that it is there! I have many flower and herb beds, and veggie garden, all gardens are dug by hand. I only let the grandbabies play in the back yard where the plants are taller and older, a bit sturdier than my newlings in front. my ex bf lived ehre for the first few years, every spot where I wanted to make a garden, he would tell me, no you can't use that spot for whatever reason of what HE planned to build in that spot. He is gone, and I am lovin my yard! The south and much of the west sides of my property border a blueberry field with the best blueberries I have ever had, not bad prices either, but it is all pick your own, which is difficult with two toddlers in tow. The east side borders a wooded horse ranch. The front overlooks out road, I am working at filling that in with trees to get some separation from the road and it's noise, well, not really much noise out here, but I want a buffer. I have let half of the yard grow in and have trees planted in the part that used to be yard in front. I made a border between the two spaces with rose bushes, native and also some cultivated. ( we have many wild roses out here, I love them!) The back yard is half kids play area, swingset, sand box, little kiddie bikes and trikes and toys galore, the other half is various gardens surrounding and in the back yard. We have alot of wildlife in the back, sometimes too close or my taste- I don't mind the wildlife, it is the circle of nature in the back yard at times that gets disturbing! I have many birdfeeders, hummer feeders, suet, plants for wildlife. fountains, I love my yard!!

My yard is a weedy mess. It mirrors my chaotic life, so I guess it makes sense.

we just got a yard actually- the front has nice trees and not too terribly many weeds- i do pull the honkers out. I mow my yard diagonally instead of stright across- makes my yard look and feel so much bigger and nicer. we don't let the dogs poop out front often- sometimes it happens and we pick it up as soon as it does.
Our current front yard project is getting out plants out of buckets and into the ground- we pulled out the 'mosquito/fly bush' (full of bugs 24/7) and planted my roses and most of my cannas. -more tomarrow though.
in the back its a totally different story- we have a tiny back yard- the dog digs holes... make that craters... and we have a mature apple tree that litters the yard with apples- attracts flies like you would not believe. We fill in the holes and buy sod on a regular basis for the holes.
i kinda like my yard.... its a pain to mow and it makes the husband cranky....
