We had this flooring in our kitchen, then extended it into the living room. Everyone has told me the best way to clean it is with those Swiffer things, but it seems to leave a dull residue on the flooring. What else can I use?
My hubby used Pledge once. It looked great, but we kept falling down all the time!!!

I just use a bit of soap (floor cleaner stuff) and water. Literally a nearly dry mop/cloth.
As long as you don't leave the floor soaking it doesn't hurt and gets it clean.

Yep underline the no soaking part, elephants can walk on it but don't let anybody pee on it ; )
Damp almost dry with cleaner or vinegar should get the residue up.

You could even spray a sponge mop with a bit of spray cleaner that you use for countertops, etc., and use that to wipe the floor. They're pretty easy to maintain, I find.

I generally use a 10% rubbing alochol mixture - it keeps the shine on it. It also cleans up the residue left by harsher chemicals such as bleach water, occasionally necessary.

Thanks I'll have to try some of those ideas.

In our kitchen and dinning room we have those floors. I use a vinegar, water and very very little mild dish soap solution. I put it in a spray bottle and then using the very fine mist I spray a little. Then I use a dry mop. Keeps it clean, keeps it from being wet and it shines ever so nicely! :D

One of those nifty microfiber mops and a bit of water does wonders on mine.

When we polished ours at home we used to all put on big fluffy socks afterwards and skate about on the floor to get rid of the excess polish! Then you could still use Pledge but there wouldn't be too much left on there and it wouldn't be so slippery.

That sounds really fun! I've only got it in one room now and it's too small to do anything more adventurous as squeeze in and sit on the bed!

I know this is an old thread, but when we had our laminate floors installed the installers said that you should never use pledge or any sort of dusting solution on them. Something to do with build up and not shinning.
They recommended vinegar and water, nothing else. This is what we've been using for the past year or so since they were installed and the floors are still shiny and beautiful.
I have a spray bottle of vinegar/water that I spray the floors with and then use a shmop (http://www.amazon.com/SH-MOP-Sh-Mop-Hardsurface-Floor-Mop/dp/B000E7L26K/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-8242048-6531016?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1193668492&sr=8-1) to clean.
