Funny as it sounds, but I woke up this morning and all i could think about was that i needed to stop putting chemicals into myself, and into my environment.
I am going to look into what i can use instead of shampoos and cleaning materials etc.So any ideas, or if you could direct me i would be grateful.
I do suffer with headaches/migraine quite a lot, what can i do if i feel one coming on, rather than take pills?
Thankyou.

For some people taking caffiene works, so have a strong cup of coffee when you feel it coming on. I know a woman who actually gets worse with that, though she's the only one I know who's had a problem with it.
Most health food stores and even some large grocery stores have a natural aisle where you can find chemical-free products. Some people make their own from various combinations of baking soda and vinegar, but I stink at such things and buy mine in stores.

Oak Angel - I am a life long sufferer of headaches & migraines, since age 5. Some things that I do to avoid taking some pills are, if possible, taking a moment out to do some deep breathing. I used to do a lot of yoga and the power of breath is amazing. I sit at a desk, so I just close my eyes, do some neck rolls, maybe rub my shoulders for a moment or stand up and stretch out back. If it's a tension headache, that can go a long way towards taming the beast.
Peppermint and/or lavender oil can help to, as aromatherapy. Some health stores have little things called MigraSticks that are little canisters that have rollers on the end, to roll the essential oils onto your temples or fingers. It's smaller than a tube of lipstick. Sometimes, combining the deep breathing with the aromatherapy can knock a headache right out.
Finally, rubbing your carotid artery can help, too, as a blood flow stimulant to counteract those pinched veins. Just take two fingers and rub in small circles right behind the hinge of your jaw. If you feel the headache pounding in your temples, I find this has been a helpful move. You might want to also look into acupressure/puncture, if that is a viable option for you. I've just never had the money to try it.

If you want chemical free stuff I have recipes.
Here is my laundry detergent recipe. I have others for shampoo and stuff and I will post them later.
