To start, I hope not to offend anyone, I sometimes feel like finding chat rooms when in the gab mood, but thus far what I have been coming across is tweens and teens essentially being their age, that is not a problem, however, at age 37, I was kind of hoping of find more adult conversationalists! Does anyone know of any adult pagan chat rooms? I dont wish to offend the youngsters, just feel very out of place given the jist of their conversation is quite a different stream than I had in mind!
Thanks all
Rowan

Hm there might be some in Pagan Geek. I'm not sure, I don't know if there are any adult specific chats. Other then the rare ones I've joined on IRC which have been often quite quiet. You might try these ones - http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&q=pagan+chat&meta=

Thanks Myst, glad to know I am not entirely lost in my thought there just might not be that many chats for us "mature" pagans, I will check it out. By the way, what I had come across in one room was a 13 yr old who felt like "dissing christians" hence my search for more age appropriate chat buddies!

hiya :) If you have mIRC, going onto #witchcraft is a good idea. They're great ppl :) #wicca is a good place..I guess...but there are adults who are older than you are that act silly as heck in there. I'm a teenager, and I don't like teenager conversations either. heh. go figure :)

hehe well age isnt a great indicator of maturity. peek into the Just Silly forum for further proof. :D *ducks from flying marmite*

Aradia, thanks i will try them out and to Haedis, i agree with you both, and yes, it is nice for all ages to have good and goofy times as I call them, i just found that what content amuses the 13 yr olds wasnt necessarily the same thing that did me! I figure, it is easier for me to disappear and find another chat room than invade theirs!!!
I am glad i haven't offended anyone, you are so great and kindly here!
brightest blessings to you all,
Rowan

Hi Myst!
I downloaded Mirc from just typing in MIRC free download on my browser search engine, download and you are up and running, from there you can hit join channel and type in #wicca or whatever channel you want and it will take you there. maybe i will see you there sometime! good luck, it was easy to get a hold of,

sorry about my last reply, didnt mean to assume you didnt know about mirc, myst! i just know that i have accessed the wicca chanel thru it just by just typing it in under join channel, however, the time i was on, now one else was! as for network, i have not had any problem accessing it thru any of the networks, though have used undernet as Aradia pointed out!
in my eagerness to return the kindness you have all shown me, i didnt mean to insult anyones existing knowledge.

Nope you didn't insult or anything, it's all good :)
I've actually been using mIRC since I was 16 (6 years), but was curious as to what network Aradia went on.

There's lots of us computer-challenged people here that need things explained carefully. :D *waves her hand*

**and the phrase of the day...**
HUH?
Sorry, my knowledge of these programs is kinda bunk, considering I live in bfe. Ah well.
Could anyone just post the URL's of the chats? I've had the same problem!

They aren't on URLs actually, you get this chat program to access the network where you can chat. The most popular one is called mIRC and you can get it at http://www.mirc.com/
Then you should read the help files and such, once you fill out the required information you can click Connect to connect to a network, then /join #witchcraft or whatever to join what we call a channel (ie. a chatroom) and talk to people.
