I'm looking for the deck that this book is about:
http://www.amazon.com/Moon-Oracle-Caroline-Smith/dp/0312241720/ref=sr_1_2/103-4602047-4855802?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1185656552&sr=1-2

Have any of you noticed that recently at any occult suppliers you've visited? Or do you know where I could look for a used deck? I don't have a problem with that as I feel they can be cleansed and attuned to myself with no problems.

I got mine new on ebay. I will say the cards are huge. I'm a bad shuffler to begin with, but they are just huge. Beautiful, but huge.

I found mine all dusty and stickey at a used booksale... so I washed and cleaned them up. The only deck Ive been able to use to be honest, my other two werent good. The first deck I had was too complicated for me to get anything from... so I gave them away.

The deck I found is Ancestral Path Tarot by Cuccio. Nothing old by any standards but still cool :).

I thought the cards and the book came together.

I think that Shatril is correct. I bought a used copy that I found on www.abebooks.com (http://www.abebooks.com) once, and that worked out ok. I've had it for a long time, and I occasionally pull it out when I want a reading with a specific time-frame.

No, they don't always come together.

I had never seen that deck before, I thought it looked very interesting ... it reminded me of the Runic Tarot, which also has a timing aspect to the cards ... when I checked I saw that it's by the same authors.

I hope that you and it work well together!

The question is do you NEED the book?? I mean all I had with my deck were little descriptions celotaped onto the back... and they were soon thrown away. I came up with my own ideas about them based on what I saw in the images... and so far I have been very accurate in my readings. So the question is do you need a book?

I know sometimes certain decks come separately... clever marketing ploy... why not check out your local occult Shoppe or Worlds Biggest Bookstore, if you have one of those... they sell decks by themselves :)

If you get it with the book in a set, the book is a good book. It probably depends on how its packaged.
