Something weird is happening to me... I just can't seem to be able to remember my dreams anymore... it's been about a month since I can't remember any dream i had at night... :( and i cant understand why! I almost always remember my dreams!!! And i just can't figure out why I can't remember them anymore, it's like a black spot in my mind, sometimes i see something and i tell myself, "hey... i dreamt about that" but thats where it stops i can't remember the rest of it... Anyone has an idea why?

I know that when I can't remember mine, it's because I have somehow taken the focus off them, or am getting up too quickly without taking time to reflect on remembering.

Another cause can be stress, or even medications. Anything new there?

I rarely remember dreams... usually just the 'textures'...

Could be new sleeping habits that make a difference, new habits during the day that keep your mind busy, that the dreams aren't important right now, or just changes in your self. Do you lay still when you wake up for a few minutes to recall the dreams? Do you use a dream journal? Is there something in your life that you think might be taking up your mind right now?

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I think that it is normal for people to go through phases when they can't remember their dreams. For some reason, I am going through that same period. I am not terribly worried though. After all, I have noticed that I usually remember my truly amazing dreams when I am going through periods of stress in my life. To be honest, I am looking forward to remember an interesting dream soon! :D

I agree with Mnemosyne. I've just started to be able to recall my dreams, where as say 2 months ago, I could barely recall *any* of them. Could be just a passing thing. ;)

Hey, your dreams will come to you in no time. :) I was just writing last night that I have not been remembering my dreams lately. Guess what happened when I went to sleep? That's right. I had the most amazing dream and remembered it in the morning. It was not one of those dreams that you remember just in the morning. It was so powerful that I keep on thinking back to it all day. My dream had so many details. One of the most interesting details in my dream last night was that I fell a great distance inside a building. Instead of landing in pain, I floated down like a feather, so gracefully. Thus, nothing bad happened to me. I kind of liked that part of a dream, since I am somewhat scared of heights and sometimes have nightmares about falling from a large building. Since nothing happened to me when I fell in my dream last night, I am interpretting it as though I should give over my worries- all worries regardless of how trivial they may be.

thanks u guys, it's just that I'm not used to that- not remembering my dreams- I usually remember them! And maybe with the finals and everything coming up I'm too stressed! Thanks again! :)

I think it will be relative to stress, and with your finals and everything your brain is so busy during the day it must be taking a break to remember your dreams at night, just try not to worry about them and think about dreaming before you go to sleep and as you arise and see what comes up.
