The Old Ones

MM Everyone:

I was wondering if anyone in the community spends a LOT of time in the forest alone. I ask this because this is where I am when I hear the whispers of the Old One, the ones that came before(ancestors). It's not so much that I can Hear them persay but I do hear what seems like whispers(not winds) and with them come an impression, thought or idea. I realize that when you at one with mother earth all kinds of things can come about. This seems to be the only place I can detect this audible sounds, deep in the heart of mothers true home, the forest. I am so at peace while there that most times I wish that I could stay there forever.

I'm sorry that my response has come so late, but when I read this thread I had to reply.
The forest is my favourite place, I too hear the whispers of the Ancient Ones when I am there. There is no place closer to Goddess and God for me than under the trees and amongst the fern. I wish I could be there all the time. The forest, is my happy thought.

Just wanted to share that with you.

That sounds so cool.. Unfortunatally, I am not near the forest, but near the ocean (about a three minute walk) so I go there everymorning for my morning walk, but at the same time, when it is quiet, I can hear the sounds of the old ones in the waves and the gull calls...sometimes the ocean looks like a pot of pink and blue paint swirled together and its truely beautiful

having lived in my entire life on the east coast (except for 1 year spent in Germany) I am a water baby! I find my inspiration and atunement comes from the ocean and not the forest (which I love also)

But I think we are talking about the same thing!

I have heard the whispers of the Mother in the forest and also in many other places too. I have even begun to hear them here in the city, which is both comforting and confusing for me due to the fact that I am a country girl born and raised. :D Have you also seen the masks and faces in the trees?
