Hey, I'm a college student. That means I'm going to be using a semi-college like format. :D

Materials Needed:
1. writing impliment
2. notebook
3. Items 1 and 2 can be replaced with a computer :D

I'll be quoting information from quite a few different sources. Alot of it will be from psych text books and journals. But don't worry, it won't be too boring. :D

Syllabus:
Week 1 Class 1 is a 2 part post. Part 1 addresses the syllabus and part 2 addresses the brain in it's most basic
functions.

Class 2 is a single post addressing the major groups of dream analysis and a breif overview oftheir
schools of thought that will be touched on in this course.

Week 2 Class 1 is a single post addressing the schools of behaviorial & biological psychology, their viewson
dreams, and the use of a dream journal.

Class 2 will be a 2 part post. Part one will address the cognitive psychological school's approach on dreams and their meanings. It also will give instructions on how to controll your dreams.

Week 3 Class 1 will address the Jungian and Freudian schools of dream analysis. It will also include a basic
guide to the parts of the mind and an explination of popular terms.

Class 2 will address the uses of symbolism in dreams and an introspective approach to dream analysis.

Week 4 Class 1 is a 2 part post. Part one will address the symbolism of myth and the cultural "memory"with
respect to dreams. Part two will address the major questions of dreams like "Why do Ihave
nightmares?" and "How can you say I dream if I don't remember them?"

Class 2 is a 2 part post as well. It will review the major points of the course and give a listing of the texts and other sources that have been consulted.

I have started keeping a dream journal again. I used to do it years ago, Then I had my children and didn't sleep much for almost 9 years. LOL :)
I have started one again because of some trauma that I have gone through lately because I find it the best way to find out what is really happening on the inside of me.

I only have a few problems>
I can only journal what I remember. I only remember them once in awhile, but it is getting better gradually with time. Most of the nightmares I dream, I think subconsciously I am blocking because they are too scary to remember right now on top of everything else that is going on. (sorry for sounding so encrypted)

But I am interested in the course. You betcha.

Please keep us advised.
TIA
:)

It's a standing joke between me and my partner that I can always remember my dreams while he can't! Love the idea of the course, I'll keep an eye out for it. I used to keep a dreaam journal when I was a teenager, but haven't for years.

My new hubby also interprets dreams and we often see different things, so that makes us both better interpreters since we can share what we get.
