Anyone use the Celtic Tarot designed by Courteney Davis? I actually found a copy at an estate sale this morning, new, for $2, so I bought it, and now I'm looking at it. . . Any opinions?

Are these the cards? They are beautiful. What a great find. I would call that serendipity. :)

That's them. They are absolutely lovely - but I tend to work with decks that have very distinct visual guides, like the Robin Wood and the Aquarian. This one seems more geared toward looking inward and meditation than reading symbolism.

Greenman, can I ask you what you thought of working with it.

And thanks for the links, Mely - I realized I actually have one of those books. I'm a knotwork fiend, down to tatoos. . .

i love the art, but i found the symbolism to be a just a bit sparse.
also it's a rather Christian oriented deck, and i prefer the Thoth-based tarot cards. but i do like it.
and it wasn't actually my VERY first deck. i had a Rider deck from the 70's, but it's long gone.

That's basically what I've always used my Tarot for, and I can't seem to read for others very well with them. I use the runes for symbolism.
