Most description I've read of 8s-and knowing 8s in real life... they NEVER fit. and I don't understand. How can all the other numbers be correct and dead-on, but 8s aren't?
Most descriptions say obsessed with money or money hungry. I've always found the opposite to be true in most of these cases. It just goes on.
Can someone PLEASE explain this to me?????

8 what is my first question ---
for example 8 consonant, are GOOD with money and problem solving and it fits with the self discipline they maintain -- focused on results
or an 8 vowel can be great philanthropists, with proper recognition
or a total 8 of a belief of shared wealth, and take charge, powerful attitude, simply not in hand outs but in work

In the tradition I follow , Elise...
Eight deals with the highest part of the soul , going
beyond the body...while at the same time , OR as a
counterpoint , to be connected to the earth realm ,
and all it implies...it has a flipover effect...for an
example...think of someone who has great desires for
material wealth , then has a spiritual wake up call...
Yet again ( in reference to one of Hope's answers )
it can denote one seeking to know oneself...living
in the present and understanding the transitory...
and again , as in music...Eight is the culmination of
experiencing a chord of growth , and moving to the
next step...which leads further...
It represents then , the Aha ! moment...yet never
to stop at the one Aha ! ...always progressing...
Does that help ?

I think the one thing that may make you feel "off" with it all, is looking at one piece of the big picture. Similar to looking at just a sun sign in astrology...

"8"...the number of infinity-- Divinity. Eternal.
In the Rider Waite tarot deck, look at the major arcana card, "The Magician", you'll see the number "8" laying on its side above his head.
"8...Resolves dualities; expansion, dissolution, dimension of the timeless; good and bad, right and wrong, day and night; ability to see and relate to eternal dimension; balance between forces, connects spirit and matter; developing confidence to follow a vision; breaks down barriers to transformation; reality, courage, strength, self-esteem; North Node of the Moon (individual fate), strength, silver...
Character: The Boss...practical, powerful drive to succeed; organizer, decision-maker; intensely active, seizes opportunity, takes control; wants security, success...also-- unimaginative, tactless, domineering, greedy, sneering."

I always saw eight as a number of infinity, of constant renewal and growth. Perhaps the cycles of death and rebirth, life's constant change and cyclical nature.
As a life path, I think eight would then have to do with this cyclical nature, with repetition and the infinateness of the universe. (Is infinateness a word? ) It may have to do with learning about the depth of the universe that this person's life meanders through, perhaps the journey of learning that everything is never-ending... kind of exploring that possibility.
I don't know, though, I'm not an expert in numerology. Though I must admit, 8 is my favourite number :heartthro You caught my attention with this question!
