Ok, I guess where we need to start is to determine if we even want a name for the residents of this community. ;) So get involved and vote :)

Anyway, I think the name is a neat idea. I think it gives a sense of community and gives us our own unique but at the same time combined personality.

Not sure about all of this!! I am happy knowing I am a member of Mysticwicks!! Without input from Mol or Semele I'd not want to overstep my welcome, this site is their baby!!

But, this community is yours as much as mine. I just started the ball rolling...everyone here has made it a wonderful place to be.

The old threads are still active both the one for suggesting names, and the newer one that determined and asked for a community vote on the obvious favorites. So far it seems 'Mystics' is the front runner, although only a few of the community members have bothered to offer any suggestions or vote which seems odd considering the impact of a name, we'll have it for some time so we'd better like it. :confused:

The purpose of this thread is to determine how many actually want a name that defines the members of myticwicks. :)

:D We still dwell in Mysticwicks, Mol. Just some us us thought it would be nice to have an identity.

I think its a good idea because familys all have the same name so will be brought closer but if someone thinks its not a good idea then I am ok with that too....

I spent the last couple of days going through all of the old threads trying to find out what this whole name thing is all about. I got to the original thread (I assume) and read through the names and I think you missed one that (to me) fits better than the rest.

Let me tell you a short story. After I moved out of my parents house (and whenever the holidays rolled around) my friends and I made a point to get together for dinner. We used to call it our 'Misfit <insert holiday>'. We considered ourselves misfits because we were such a diverse group. No two were alike, but we got along great. It was really a great support group of sorts.

Now, to me, you all seem to be alot like that long ago group of friends. We are diverse and different yet, we all just seem to 'mesh well'.

In the previous thread (http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1375) Red Dragon had proposed Mysfits.

Well, what I'm proposing is Mystfits.

To me, it speaks more of the site, coupled with a feeling of a loving community, and adding a dash of our diversity.

Just my opinion of course...
