Altar consecration...

I'm very partial to sage.. and other herbs in general. So, for altar consecration, I use my sage stick first to cleanse the area, next with salt water to cleanse as well.

As for consecration, I usually centre myself and then use the sage and the salt again. I'm also very earth.. so I love earthy things. If you haven't found anything that pops, use what you have found as guidelines.. and just make something up.

I haven't really read much on consecration, so I don't know how anyone else does it. Could you post some methods up?

Er, I consecrated my altar with sea-salt, in each quarter I threw a pinch and then meditated on purification for, like, a day. I think it is important, but there are so many ways you can do it. Sweeping the area with your broom, or waving a sage stick around the perimiter. Incence to 'smoke out the bad' or just plain meditation.
