There is a segment on the Biography Channel about Satanism. It's on at 11pm eastern time.
Looks interesting. Just a heads up.

Was it any good? A lot of the mainstream media aren't to be trusted, and get it horribly wrong. If they spice it up and make it a sensationalist story, they get better ratings.

Hasn't shown yet. I will give my report. I know what you mean. Many media outlets go for the "freak shows" Hopefully this isn't it.

I hope so too. A little understanding would go a long way.

I am doubtful. I just saw a preview. I already want to vomit on the producer.

Yes..gone down hill quite quick. Even showed the hack demonologist who does exorcisms(sp?)

And the whole \m/ thing at rock concerts. Even Ronnie James Dio said he got that from his Grandmother who used it as a symbol of the "evil eye" Or malucchi NOT Devil horns. They were ment to point straight at the persons eyes.

Ronnie James Dio invented it, so he has the last word on it's meaning as far as I'm concerned.

How very Satanic.

I suspected it'd be like this. After all, some accurate fair journalism on a subject wouldn't put bums in seats would it?

The second half of the show focused on a church group in Tulsa who believed they were all the victims of Satanic Ritual abuse when they were children by one of the group member's father who had never even been in the state before. Funny how a whole church could be abused by the same guy but never know until they all attended the same church. One of them said "Jesus brought us all together." It's a miracle!! I loved it when they said the preacher wouldn't let the film crew talk to the parishioners talk to them without him being present.

Ronnie James Dio:
Personal Quotes

"I was in [Black] Sabbath at the time. The gesture was a symbol that I thought was reflective of what that band was supposed to be all about. It's NOT the devil's sign like we're here with the devil. It's an Italian thing I got from my Grandmother. It's to ward off the Evil Eye or to give the Evil Eye, depending on which way you do it. It's just a symbol but it had magical incantations and attitudes to it and I felt it worked very well with Sabbath. So I became very noted for it and then everybody else started to pick up on it and away it went. But I would never say I take credit for being the first to do it."
