Here is a great idea off one of the sites recommended. Use those Clorox bottles! Leave a few drops of Clorox in the bottle so that it will stay in good shape. What could be better? Just be sure to take off the old label and write "water" on the bottle.

I like this because even I or a kid could lug them around.

Speaking of bleach. I get the unscented stuff at the dollar stores. I KNOW it can be used for a lot more than laundry such as water purification. I don't know about all that perfume being put into my drinking water.

Not a bad idea. You just want to make sure it's the regular bleach, and not the scented kinds (Fresh Scent, Lemon Fresh, etc.).

And the nice thing about the bleach bottles is that most have a handle, so if you needed to carry two or three of them, you could run a strap through the handle and sling it over your shoulder.

AH! Reuse, recycle! Purify your water. Good work! Good ideas!
