I've picked up a few new things and would like to use them in a spell tomorrow night. Usually I cleanse tools by leaving them under the full moon but since its not full right now, thats not going to work. Will the moon under any phase work? Most of the other cleansing options involve burying (I live in an apt building - not an option) or take a few days. Can anyone recommend another option?

You can cleanse them by passing them through sage smoke, or by covering them with salt (burying them) overnight. Those that are washable can be washed gently in salt-water and dried with a soft cloth.
Many feel that dedicating tools after they've been cleansed is also important.

Depending on the type of material, cloth and smoke, or water. All done with prayer, song or both. The choice is 100 percent yours.

I would think a waning moon would be an OK bet for cleansing, too, if you structure your intention right. The period of the waning moon is a time of decrease, so if you want to think of your spells decreasing in impurities and negative energies, this would be a good time for it. You'll probably want to stick 'em out again under the next waxing-to-full moon, so you can replace the negativity and impurity with energy and focus, rather than just leaving your tools "empty," but you needn't just sit on them and not use them for almost a month just because you missed a full moon.
