1) Is there a story behind your user I.D./screen name?
Troubadour or Fool, take your pick! Troubadour is the main character in my magickal historical tarot-themed fiction novel The Last Troubadour, so it was a natural fit. Plus, I'm a bit of a jester, fool -- okay, a lot of the Fool -- although I mean both the seeking Fool of the tarot, on his endless journey and the silly fool as well. Life's too serious not to laugh.

2) How'd you find us here at Mystic Wicks?
I've loitered a bit on and off. My writing schedule and now tour schedule makes me irregular (in more ways than one!).

3) Do you follow any certain path (spiritually)?
I'm eclectic. "Everything is real." That's my motto (I use it on some boards in my signature where I'm known as Mezu (Tibetan). But I've dabbled for many years in Taoism (Daoism), creative shamanism, Tibetan mysteries (both Bon and Buddhist), paganism (various), Gnostic Christianity (Cathar interest) -- all of the above... at the same time! Mostly I go by the moniker of "Tibetan Buddhist". I definitely believe in karma, so that's the common thread.

4) Would you give me a kidney if I needed it? JUST KIDDING! Only checking to see who's paying attention... lol

For a price. Just kidding.

5) Do you use incense, and if you do, do you have a favorite scent?

Jasmine.

6) How about "totem animals"; is there any certain animal with which you most identify?

Yes! I've always had Sister Coyote as a totem. We live on a farm and she follows me around (a real coyote, that is, although I talk to her, and she comes within a hands reach when I sit there waiting for her). Even if I'm out on the tractor, she'll follow me. Our horses aren't afraid of her when she's sitting over a ground hog hole in their pasture. She's just part of the family. She has a mate, too, but her mate doesn't like me much (He's jealous?) My other totems include Brother Red Ant and sister Racoon (also see them daily on the farm!). Coyote and Ant have always been with me. I'm drawn to bears, but it's not one of my totems.

7) Is there anything else you think we should know about you, or that you'd like to share?

I'm somewhat of a tarot expert (if there's such a thing! because you really never stop learning the decks). They're alive, I swear. I won't read for money (people ask, I don't know why ) but my friends usually beg a read out of me on every visit. I bought my first deck at 14, have used my decks daily for 35 years. My first deck was a 1972 Pixie (Pamela Smith - Waite) deck, my second a Thoth. I now have 112 decks, but the 1972 Pixie and 1974 Thoth are my old friends and always come out first, creases, wrinkles and all! I parlayed my tarot knowledge into books, now. Not non-fiction (I may try that next!), but tarot-themed novels. The first one, The Last Troubadour, is in current release. The first press run sold out within four weeks. I credit that to my glorious tarot friends. What a community!
