View Full Version : Opinion on some dreams I recently had...

Hi everyone

Okay, I've had some experiences when it comes to dreams and recently I've had some sort of weird ones.

First I had 3 separate dreams about 3 large abandoned houses. In each one were pools of crystal clear water. The last "house" was actually a mansion with a number of pools. In the first house, the pool was upstairs right next to what I chose as my room. Everyone in my family did not want to use the upstairs except as storage, but it was beautiful to me with flowing white curtains stepping out onto the pool area right next to the room. I looked down the side of the house and saw my deceased father making sure everything was good in the yard - the water tap (faucet) in particular. I don't recall the second house right now though. It'll come to me later.

I read somewhere that large houses represent a connection or awakening with the spiritual or "higher self".

Then the other night I dreamt I was in a forest like setting with someone, but I don't know who it was. I did not feel uncomfortable though. There was a strange machine and I was sitting next to it. I reached up to grab onto a poll parallel to the ground and stopped when I realized it was a snake. It was stiff, like a rod, resting on top of two pipes coming out the side of the machine. It had weird bumps all over it's body and almost alien like eyes with white coloring around them.

Then later that night I had a second dream about a box full of insects - ants, spiders and so on. I moved them from one box to another inside this bedroom and was careful not to get bit by anything. But I felt a little weary. Not scared though, just concern about them biting me; I was very careful while handling the box and it's contents. Like with the snake, I did not want to touch them.

Anyway, I would like some opinions. Are they just dreams or do they represent something? What do snakes and insects usually represent and what about large, airy, roomy, abandoned houses? Water that's crystal clear?

Any ideas are appreciated!
Thanks
Siafu

water that's crystal clear represents clarity, perhaps you will be having an epiphany very soon, (if you haven't already) one that your family refuses to see, for one reason or another, houses often represent the self, your family stays on one level of the house only, while you are more open and comfortable to exploring all aspects of your mind and life in general. sprinklers refresh the lawn and plants right? perhaps it means that both you and your father are refreshing and making sure that things are kosher, kinda working in the background, (it can be a very thankless job I'm sure)

the forst represents being out of your element, and afraid or frightened if you don't know the way (think grimms fairy tales for exmaple) it's more uncomfortable then other paths, then say a mountain or beach or a field, because it's more enclosed, and things are obscured from your senses, but don't forget that for all the hidden dangers in life, there are also many hidden beauties and unsuspected surprised of all sorts, (just like life) the machine represents that which is useful in human lives, from the mundane, the terrifying, the entertaining, and the extraordinary this must be one of those extrordinary things in your life, the snake represents everything from the sexual to the defiant,to our fears, I don't know how you feel about snakes. Aliens represent the unknown, which seems too fit with the overall theme of the unknown. hence why the snake and the machine looked alien to you, but at the same time you were in a recognizable habitat, and the creature was recognizable as a snake. so perhaps you don't have to look as hard as you think to find whatever it is you are seeking. hope that helps and makes sense. :)

moving boxes, may represnt our unconscience, our shadow selves for exmaple the things that we do not like about ourselves, that get subconsciencely repressed, and "filed away" so to speak, it seems like you need to face up to these parts of yourself.

Wow thanks for this. I did not expect anyone to reply after the first day or two.

I seem to be having some weird dreams lately. I haven't remembered many of my dreams during my life except for some larger exceptions. Lately though it seems to be changing. I have been working on opening my chakras, so maybe it's working?

Coming to an epiphany while family stays on another level is actually something that has happened before while doing a lot of research into religion (at least from the perspective of what I was raised with). My family just could not see anything I "presented" to them.

"...your family stays on one level of the house only, while you are more open and comfortable to exploring all aspects of your mind and life in general."The fact that I am here on this forum can attest to that fact! I've actually done a 180 in my life as to my belief's, simply because I asked the question "Why do other's believe what they believe?" and was willing to be open to the possibilities.

As for the forest. I can see what you are saying. Interestingly the setting in the forest was just under the canopy of, but right on the edge of it. As though this machine was just under the forest's end just on the skirt of a meadow or plain; but I could not see it. Just the light from where it was open behind me. If that makes sense?

Could this be something along the lines of, as you stated, the unknown, but close to something familiar. Like just about to go into something unknown perhaps?

As for something big in my life, there may be an opening at work that I am working at getting into. Something I would be ecstatic about getting! My line of work, so to speak and will be a huge increase in my pay. There is a 50/50% chance of me actually getting it. So I don't know if that applies or not, but I am really excited about it :-).

Thanks for everything! I think you were spot on.
