I need to whine/vent!

I just came home from seeing another specialist to try to find out what's going on with my body. I had unexplained kidney failure last year and it left me a wreck. Lately I have been having more symptoms and pain, so I visited my primary doc. He told me he wanted me to see a friend of his that might be able to help figure it all out.

I went to the new doc today. He was friendly, patient and understanding and listened to all I had to say. I felt so relieved to have somebody listen! But then the dreaded L-word came up.. Lupus. He told me, "Your doctor sent you to me because I am a Lupus specialist. All of your symptoms point to this disease, or another auto-immune disorder and we must find out if it is what you are suffering from or not."

Yiiiikes! I'm so scared... Lupus sucks! I really don't want it. I am hoping and wishing so hard that the blood tests come back negative! I am so scared because I have the butterfly rash and the discoid lesions. Uuyyy.

I'm home by myself and my mind is going a million miles an hour. I am so tired of being sick!

Big HUGS. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this all alone at the moment. Scary stuff indeed. My daughter was really afraid last year that she might have Lupus (it does run in our family) but the tests didn't confirm it. We both have some kind of auto-immune disorder, possibly Celiac Sprue (my granddaughter was tested and the results seem to be positive).

I have a friend who is undergoing treatment now for severe auto-immune disorder (due to Chemical Injury Illness) and she discovered something called The Marshall Protocol. Not easy and not quick, but it does seem to be effective in changing people's lives when they've been living with this kind of disorder for a long time, including those who are diagnosed with Lupus.

Just to give you a glimpse of what it's all about:

I am sorry you are dealing with this alone right now. We go through so many of life's shockers in that way.
But if you DO have lupus, there are may teatments out there to help you maintain as normal a life as possible.
Check with your Dr. about a Registered dietician that works with these disorders.
Relieving stress will help: like THAT's always possible. But give it a try.
The healing candles are lit for you.

Thank you, everbody. You are all so wonderful. :hugz:

I got to talk to some friends and my Mom and I'm just going to keep calm as best I can until I see the doc in a couple of weeks. Thanks again for all the support! Much love.
