Sometimes I like to put up old spells I've read about or seen and take a look at the componet parts. I do not recall the book this is from other than it was something I read back in the late 1980's.
The vocale part of the spell is pretty simple
I bring the cosmic forces into my body
I bring the cosmic forces into my body asking for strength, protection and guidance.
I bring the cosmic forces into my body asking for ----------
The physical portion of the spell is relatively simple as well.
The caster starts with feet about shoulder length apart.
Hands are about waist height and palms turned outward
eyes are typically closed for the duration of the chant
As the verse is receited the caster brings thier hands upward and cross over the chest portion of the body.
The final resting position of the hands is laying upon the shoulder at the joint position.
The third eye part of the spell calls for the caster to raise a shimmering veil of white mist about the body.
It is pictured as slowing forming at the feet then gradually raises up the body. The misty veil rises untill it covers the entire body.
At this point the caster has hands crossed and placed upon sholder joints. The third eye is bathed in a white mist. Typically the breathing is very slow and maybe either shallow or deep.
The caster then asks thier question / request to the cosmic mind. The question is very formated and must be precise. The question is then repeated three times with each repatation exactly the same as before.
If for protection the misty veil is changed to the color of protection you desire or the color of healing you request. The mist is breathed in and out. In threw the nose and out threw the mouth. Ie Good into the nose bad exhailed threw the mouth.
Once finished the caster drops thier hands back to the original position. The misty veil is allowed to drop down the body. The final verse of the chant is a simple "Thank you" to the cosmic forces.
Once returned to the original position the eyes are opened and the chant / spell is completed.
The results maybe immediate as an image played accross the minds eye. The results may be forthcoming in dreams over the course of a few days. Or they maybe felt as an immediate sensation of increased strenght or well being.
