Just a suggestion....Therepy and vases are expensive, bubble wrap is cheap...you choose :)

After my son spent 3 days packing the only room that really has to be packed up in boxes I learned he stopped folding stuff and started just cramming stuff in boxes now I have to redo everything he packed and finish the rest of the house since my darling dear won't pack he only hauls!!!!! So I have to have everything packed by Thursday alone with 4 kids that don't want to help!!!!!!! WAHHHHHHHHHHH ok done my rant and I am off to work before the thunderstorm by the way all the packed boxes are on the porch too!

Here's my rant...
From a staff of 14 only 6 came to work today....it got really ugly there and we had triple digit heat.

Oh my! When I read this this morning I hadn't been up and out yet. This day went BAD and then I got home to find my air condition has blown itself up! :wah:

Vases and bubblewrap won't help me! I need ICE now (and about $200 for a new one).

Oh Mithrea, what a terrible thing to happen....you are right, no amount of bubble wrap and vases work for that....I am sending you cool energy and a reminder to check the reset button on the unit...and the fuses or circuits. Oh I hope it is just needing a reset. *crossing fingers*

Thanks guys, it must be working. I just had to move the fan a little farther away :boing: Materra, I checked the breakers and nothing helped. I don't know if it even has a reset button. I have to wait until my Dad can come over tomorrow.

Mithrea, on top of my bad day, my dishwasher went kaploooee and a ton of water leaked all over the kitchen floor.Pump is shot again and who knows when i'll have the money to get it replaced. Good luck with your AC!

Aaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....ok, after working a long day at work (where everything went wrong, sump pump went out while doing a load of laundry ...basement flooded, spent lots of money replacing it (there went my new computer money), then spent most of evening cleaning basement....had to work today...which of course nothing went well......

I am sitting under my new air conditioner right now. :boing: My Dad didn't even blink. He just said, lets go to the mall and get a new one. I'm so cold and I love it. My cat is a bit weirded out though. She just sits and stares at it :huh:

Of course, (and he must have realized it) it was his "maintenance" that ruined the old one ;) It turns out that the connector between the power wire and the rest of the mechanical part thingys had rusted through. Ahem, Dad "cleaned it out" 4 weeks ago with a water hose. :D
