Well, today was our first day of home school for this year.
(Our laws state that we have to be in session at the same times and days our local schools are)
Anyhow, I am tired!!!!
We had a lot of activities today.
One that I didn't expect such a fun time with was heart health!!
I did the stuff where the kids do different activities to see how their hearts rates change and such. We made graphs to compare the different activities with the heart rates. The topic was all about exercise and its effect on the heart muscle.
Well, the kids loved it all and of course mom and do do all the activities they were doing, which...
resulted in mom getting a lecture from her 7 and 9 yr old how she needs more heart healthy exercise. LOL
We covered a lot of stuff today, science was a blast. We worked with oil and water experiments. The focus did turn to oil spills and the effects on wildlife.
We are good for starting a subject and going off it to other areas. :)
We went way beyond what I had planned.
Heck we even went overtime and didn't realize it. :)
The kids didnt want to stop. :)
Our new word of the day was aerodynamics.
I have a feeling the kids wont be able to remember the spelling tomorrow. :hehehehe:
It was a busy and good day.
I am so tired. :lol:
I am going to sleep like the dead tonight. ~ZZZZZZZZ~
Well, time to go tend the critters now. :)
