We have two eclipses in June that follow this basic meaning: An obstacle,
restriction, inhibition, restraint, separation or illusion is showing up
which blocks you. The potential danger is that you may incorrectly judge
either the situation or your strengths. Its better to wait until this
eclipse has passed---at least one week or longer---before making important
decision or taking actions. Illusions, restraints, inhibitions, and
separations are common with this eclipse cycle. Your best strategy is to
wait for clarity. This is a difficult eclipse series.

Eclipses represent special opportunities to break old patterns and to make
major changes in our lives. The issues that come up can last from three to
six months for a lunar eclipse, or up to a year or longer for a solar
eclipse and can be felt as early as a month before the actual eclipse. To
determine if this particular eclipse will impact you strongly, check your
personal chart, or ask your astrologer to do this for you. A planet or
sensitive point (e.g., angle, nodal axis) in your chart within three or four
degrees (+ or -) of the eclipse degree indicates a significant issue or
change. This also applies if the eclipse occurs opposite a planet or
sensitive point in your chart.

Solar eclipses are especially powerful New Moons; which, like all New Moons,
highlight significant endings and beginnings. During a Solar eclipse, the
magnetic pull of the sun and moon is strong enough to temporarily open Earth
’s protective sheathe. This makes us especially open to an infusion of the
archetypal knowledge of the constellation behind the conjunct sun and moon.
In essence, we receive an infusion of cosmic energy that directs us to
change the way we are relating to the issues specific to that constellation.

The June 10 Solar Eclipse is at 19 degrees/54 minutes Gemini and is strongly
influenced by Saturn at 18 degrees Gemini and Pluto at 16 degrees
Sagittarius. If you have any planets, angles or sensitive points between 12
and 20 degrees Gemini or 12 and 20 degrees of Sagittarius---the eclipse will
be on or opposite those points---indicates a major issue or event for you
personally.

Gemini, a mutable, transitional energy, wants to learn, think, and exchange
ideas. Gemini seeks to have a wide range of experiences, in order to
develop flexibility and open-mindedness. The areas of your chart influenced
by Gemini and its ruler, Mercury, indicate where you need to be inquisitive
and interdisciplinary and where you are ready for new information and a
broader perspective. The Sabian symbol for 20 degrees Gemini is: “A modern
cafeteria displays an abundance of food, products and various regions, The
keynote here is assimilation; the negative potentiality of the symbol is
waste.” Saturn at 29 degrees Gemini, tightly conjunct the eclipse, narrows
the ordinarily wide range of Gemini, lobbying for what is practical and
economical. This eclipse represents overwhelming choices in our prevailing
society. The negative side of this indicates an inability to make decisions
or a propensity to take on everything available just because you can.

Pluto in Sagittarius, opposite the eclipse point and Pluto says: “Show me
the meaning!” What are we really doing and why? What’s the bottom line?
Energy follows thought, and words have power. Watch your mind, watch your
mouth, and watch your world change. The Four Agreements of the Toltec
shaman, Muguel Angel Ruiz, provide good guidelines for these times: “Be
impeccable with your word. Take nothing personally. Believe no one. Always
do your best.”

With six of the ten planets in the element of air, the three planets
currently in Cancer (Mars, Jupiter, and Venus) encourage us to add
sensitivity and emotional intelligence to what would otherwise be abstract
thinking and indifferent interactions. More than ever, we need to
communicate, connect, and create together. The world is teetering on an
unprecedented evolutionary edge. The future is up to us; everyone counts.
Choose, speak, and live your truth more fully each day.

Three days after the summer solstice, June 24, we have an especially
powerful lunar eclipse (Full Moon) at 3 degrees/11 minutes Cancer-Capricorn.
During a lunar eclipse, the Moon passes through the shadow of the Earth,
flushing out the dark, unconscious aspects of human nature. Feelings and
fears are closer to the surface; illogical thoughts and actions occur
unexpectedly. The good news is that we can become more conscious of our
compulsions and their consequences. We can see more clearly how we are
influencing, and influenced by, others. We can remember that the outer world
is a mirror of our inner reality; so we can choose to become more aware of
our shadows.

Note where 3 degrees Cancer/Capricorn falls in your natal chart; those
houses and any planets aspected within 5 degrees will be strongly activated
around this potent Full Moon and for the next 6 months.

With the Sun in Cancer and the Moon in Capricorn, the focus of this eclipse
is on balancing our attention to feelings, family, and home with the demands
of our professional, social and ecological obligations. This eclipse
emphasizes the personal and collective urge to redefine our responsibilities
at home and at work. We are being urged to beware of rationalizations and
resistance to change and be aware of the need to act together for the common
good. “Think globally and act locally.”

:eyebrow: Apparently we're supposed to see it at *gasp* 3:53-5:45 here... I'd say that's pretty early, but we're hoping it's sunny out tomorrow (it's supposed to be, but clouds do come in from that direction)

For once it was sunny in the lower mainland and I got to see it :). It peaked at about 6pm. I just wish I had welders glass, instead I had to use one of those pinhole camera things.
