All of my life I have had very vivid memorable dreams. I still remember some from my childhood. Most of my dreams contained spirits, or angels, past life (maybe) flashes. Everything seemed so real!

Especially the dream where my grandmother who passed on visited me shortly after her death. She gave me a very deep message, and it came to be just like she said it would.

So I have learned to trust my dreams and the messages I get in them.

Anyways, besides my vivid dreams that hold somewhat of prophetic truth to them, I also love anything to do with the moon, nighttime, storms, autumn and the mountains.

My family heritage is Native American and Scot-Irish so I am also fascinated with natural earth bound worship and healing. Long ago I used crystals for healing and surprised myself when I healed someone that was very very ill.

When I was a child a favorite habit of mine was "singing" to the sky to call down rain or thunderstorms. And I've always been able to "communicate" with animals. I can just "feel" their emotions and intent. Same with people really. I believe I may be somewhat of an empath.

So do I belong here is my question to you folks? I've always been very interested in Celtic / Druidic religions and practices. I do not feel "wicca" is the right path for me but I do know Paganism is. Could this be my true calling?

It could be. But just because ypu have a certain set of skills doesn't mean your ment for a certain path. If you feel drawn to that path then by all means look into it. But don't do it because you feel like you fit a sterotype of what people on that path should be.

I deffinetly do feel drawn to it. Where is a good online resource or book that I could take a look at?

There are several druid organisations that you can look at. Try ADF, AODA, Henge of Keltria or OBOD, for instance.

There's a thread that recently discussed the ADF and AODA that might be helpful:

(Sorry to be lazy, but the thread mentions some books as well :) )

You can look up the websites of the ADF, AODA, Henge of Keltria and OBOD as Seren rightly suggests.

You can read mythology . http://www.pantheon.org/areas/mythology/europe/celtic/
for example.

You can look into Celtic Reconstructionism:
http://www.paganachd.com/faq/

But having lucid dreams, weather-witching, crystal healing, being an empath and/or an animal communicator have nothing specifically to do with "Celtic / Druidic religions and practices". Not that all of those things rule out that Path, but they don't inevitably lead to that end either.

What does inevitably lead to this path?
I've been mulling this over all day and can't really find a good answer.
Being an animist helps.
So does liking bagpipe music.
Finding your chosen Celtic nation's mythology compelling, certainly.

Really, because you just can't not be.

Bagpipe music makes me so happy... lol.

Or makes me cry. :) So emotional to hear sometimes.

Bag pipes, harps, and hammered dulcimers --- instruments of the Gods, I tell ya!

Alright I confess. I have a few bag pipe tracks on my ipod.
