Cant seem to find any information on the healing properties of different essential oils. Does anyone have a list of them? I've got several right now and I would like to keep collecting them, but I dont know what to do with them! Dont know what they do.
So far I've got wintergreen, eucalyptis, yucca flower, frankensense, sandalwood, jasmine, hyssop, and I think one or two others.
help!

Why not try Scott Cunningham's Magical Herbalism (http://www.amazon.com/Magical-Herbalism-Secret-Llewellyns-Practical/dp/0875421202), or Magical Aromatherapy (http://www.amazon.com/Magical-Aromatherapy-Power-Scent-Llewellyns/dp/0875421296), to start? I can vouch for the first title, but I have not read the second. Or Google (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&q=healing+essential+oils+properties&btnG=Search).

Try googling Essential Oil properties. There are many things you can do with them. But keep in mind that less is more when it comes to EO's. You really dont need very much (drops I mean. You can never have too many EO's IMO). I studied Aromatherapy (and Aromatherapy massage) so if I can be of any help in any way, just let me know.

The second is a fantastic book, although not as well known as most of Scott's works. It is a guide just to essential oils, but be warned - it deals mostly with their magical applications - which to use for courage, for consecration, and so forth - rather than their homeopathic uses.

Thank you for that. The primary resource I use personally is The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy (http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Book-Essential-Oils-Aromatherapy/dp/0931432820) by Worwood.

That's an amazing book, and I use it all the time!
A good online resource is www.aromaweb.com (http://www.aromaweb.com) - very useful also.
Be careful with the wintergreen oil - it can be EXTREMELY irritating to the skin. Also - I haven't heard of yucca flower essential oil - before using it for therapeutic purposes, you may wish to make sure it's real essential oil rather than a "fragrance oil."
Good luck - aromatherapy is addictive, so get used to it now! :)

Are you wanting medicinal or spiritual correspondences? I have huge lists of both so I'd rather only post the one you want/need.

Also, if you click on the Green Room link in my siggy, there is an Herbal subforum in there that has tons of information in it.

Ok, I'll send you a PM of my list. It's too long to post here, I think a lot of ppl would get annoyed. LOL! I don't have the sources from all the info, it's been gathered from various books over the years. I hope it helps.
