I have a quick Q,
If your Ascendant is Aries, is the Sun currently (6/5/02) transisting in your 3rd house?

your ascendant would mark your first house.
6/5/02 that birthdate would be gemini
if aries is ascendant then
it follows that taurus would be the second
and gemini would be the third
yes the sun would be in the third house according to the information you provided

Thanks Xander,
But what I meant was today (6/6/02) the Sun is currently in the sign of Gemini. Next month the Sun would be in the sign of Cancer.
So, for this month, would the Sun be transisting in the 3rd house if your ascendant is Aries? And for next month would the Sun be transisting in your 4th house of your NATAL CHART if your Ascendant is Aries?
Also, is it important to know the position of the planets today (6/6/02) on your natal chart? For example, in my natal chart, my Sun is in the 6th house. But today I think the Sun is in my 8th house but I dont know, and that is the question i'm curious about the answer of.
But actually I think you answered my Q. Thanks!

great answer Xander:p
I was curious, mhrtwll
Are you working with Equal houses?
I'd thought only proponents of Guido Bonatti and students of Bob Zoller or Robert Schmidt used that system.
Most astrologers use Placidus, although some prefer Porphory.
Just about all Horary astrologers I've met like to use the Regiomantus house system.
I ask because knowing that the Asc is Aries and that the Sun is the sign of Gemini is generally not enough information to ascertain the accurate house placement of this luminary. To be sure, one must provide the natal Longitude and Latitude.
Say ferinstance, you were born in Greenland. The 3rd house cusp would vary significantly than if you were born on the Equator, the chart would likely have more than 2 interceptions, that is unless you are working with Equal House cusps like the medievalists did.

Im not really familiar w/ the different house systems, but i'm assuming an equal house system. Im just wondering if the planets transisting through the houses in one's natal chart is important/significant or something that we shouldnt really pay attention to at all. Pluto is transisting through my 2nd house for i think 12 years...wonder what that does...

Pluto as one of the slower moving planets has a generational effect when it comes to it's present sign placement but where in your natal chart Pluto is transiting is very important.
A Plutonian 2nd house transit shows that now and until Pluto moves into your third, is a time of renewal and transformation of your basic value system, your outlook on what is important, what it is that you decide to hold dear to you. Much personal transformation, alteration and generation of the identity.

I've been going through highs and lows when it comes to money. I'm only 22 so I dont have alot in my acct., but my dad told me to deposit 2000 in an IRA acct. That's like 40% of the total money I have... So its obvious that Pluto has an influence in my 2nd house. Cant wait till Jupiter transits in my 2nd house...

At 22 your age is your the greatest factor in saving.
Most 22 yo don't need a whole lot of $ to get by, later on in life you'll likely need a nest egg for what ever life brings to/at you.
If you put away money now, it can grow to $$$$ just by letting it sit. You'll be happy later when you have all that loot!
