Well, JP, to answer all of your questions in one post, would be nearly impossible. Because there are so many people here, with so many diverse paths.

Paganism isn't one exact belief, it's an umbrella term, for a multitude of beliefs. And Wicca isn't the only Pagan Path.

It's kind of like how in Christianity, there are Catholics, Baptists, Episcopalians, Quakers, etc...Each one has very differen't traits, practices, and beliefs.

Within Paganism, there are paths such as Wicca, Shamanism, Green Witchcraft, Druidic Paths, etc. And even within THOSE "Denominations" (for lack of a better term at the moment), it varys from coven to coven, tradition to tradition. For instance, within Wicca, there are Eclectics, Gardenarians, Alexandrians, etc.

It's kind of Mindblowing at first, because it's a very complex religious system. Very time consuming to learn about :)

To try to define it in a single post, would be doing an injustice to our beliefs, and to you, frankly..as we could never fully cover all of the diversity within paganism, within one post.

Some Pagans believe in One God, or Supreme Force. Some pagans believe in a multitude of Gods, and Goddesses. Some don't believe in either, but believe only in the elements of nature as the energy force behind the universe.

Some aknowledge that "Satan" exists, some don't, and some people believe that "Satan" is merely an allegory...

Some Pagans practice Magick, while some don't.

So you see, it is so incredibly complex. That it's impossible for you to learn it all in one day, or for us to answer you in one post. If you really want to know what Paganism, Wicca, and Witchcraft are about, I really suggest that you hang around a while, and browse all of our forums. Theology and Philosophy, Gods and Goddesses, Magick and Rituals, Druids, and History may be of particular use in this. I'm sure you'll find as you browse these forums, that there is much more to learn about us than you ever thought possible :) And, that we can't all be painted with the same brush stroke so to speak. ;)

Also, as Myst said, you could go and check out www.Witchvox.Com I believe they have a section which explains various traditions within modern Paganism.

Edited to add. You might want to try using the Search feature here at Mystic Wicks, and typing in the specific terms you are interested in. For instance, if you want to know some of our various views on Satan, you could type in "Satan" or "Does Satan Exist" ...or whatever in the search engine.

To find out if we believe in Jesus, or who Jesus is...type in similar lines..etc:) Happy Hunting :)

the words that are underlined are links to the different forums in this Board (i.e just silly and just talk) the writing next to it explains the forums and what you will find in them ... if you find the forum u wish to read then you click on the underlines text and it will "magckally" transport you to that forum

I would like to clarify what Danu said a little bit. Actually not clarify
because she said it very well. But when you go out there and
read some of our posts and pasts posts, please remember that
we have "well behaved" posters, and posters who get out of hand
and say offensive things. We try to moderate some of this, the
rule is respect. Do not bash another person's faith or belliefs.
Unfortunately it still happens from time to time, and we occassionaly
miss some stuff. If you search for stuff on Jesus, and on Satan, or
christians in general...you will find some, not all, offensive material.
Please dont let this make you stop or think poorly of us, like every
group of people, some just cant behave or be polite. I am a christian
and find this board to be very enlightening and entertaining, but the
best thing here to me is the friendships I have made. Happy hunting!

Also, feel free to pm me about any questions or posts that you
are concerned or have problems with.

Very True, Flar. Some people who have come to this board, have come from difficult situations in which they felt like they were not understood by mainstream religions. I feel this can sometimes make them a little hasty in their comments about those religions. But most of the time, it is quickly pointed out that we don't allow bashing of any religion. So if in your searches, Jp, you run across a comment or two from someone that seems a little...inflammatory, please keep in mind that that is only one persons' opinion, and not the opinion of Mysticwicks as a whole.
