What do you consider key elements of being a Priestess? Do you consider yourself a Priestess? Do you use the term when speaking of ritual facilitators only or as any woman dedicated to her Goddess?
In my reading I came across a definition of Priestess that I personally thought was quite odd - that only trained or recognised ritual leaders are true Priestesses and that those that only facilitate rituals in a solitary or small group capacity are (p)riestesses.
I know this is getting into symantics, but I was wondering if this is a wide spread opinion?
I've always considered myself a Priestess of my Goddess (nevermind whether it's in a capital or not). I recognise the authority of High Priestesses in coven rituals, but it seems like taking a step backwards to stipulate restrictions on the title of Priestess.
