Introduction, hello.

Hello, everyone. I suppose one of the best ways to describe me at this point is a very confused little girl. Yes, I am sixteen but I may as well be an infant when it comes to religion. I first heard about Wicca four years ago through a friend and did some research on it. Indeed, I was highly interested in it but stopped soon after--I had gone through the last of seven failed attempts to revive whatever Christian faith I had in me. I guess I never got around to it again till now. Am I pagan as of right now? No, but highly looking into it. At the moment I am a self-defined atheist but have been drawn back to this once again through two new friends although I do believe I would have came back to it eventually. So, right now, I am simply trying to learn and make a decision.

A little bit about me apart from my religious beliefs? As said before, I am a sixteen year old Junior in high school. I am taking high level classes and two AP classes and am in the Early College Scholars program. I really, really love to write as well as draw. (Of course because I have been writing since I was young I am better at writing) I will read in class as well but one of my favorite things to do is walk around a wooded lake at night--whether in a new moon so I can see the stars or a full moon so I can see it differently. It's interesting how lighting changes the outdoor scene. Now I wonder about firelight--pyromaniacs for the win.

Thank you for the welcomes. Always nice to meet a new community. Community--reminds me of AP English. Perhaps I should look into that now. Online class...er. Maybe I wasn't so ready to take it. Oh well! I shall start my research now/

My problem with the research before this place was simply finding someplace reliable. I wear a pentagram without truly knowing its meaning and that is something I wish to change. I don't want to wear a symbol, I want it to have meaning. You are all nice people so far it seems--I should learn a fair amount.

OK, I gotta tell you. Please listen to the more experienced persons when you are looking for reading material. There are quite a few people here that are very wise and teach WONDERFUL classes.
IT is only MY opinion, but I would stay as far away from wickpedia as possible. You don't know where the information really comes from and it has an often biased slant.
In my opinion. I am entitled to my opinion without being flamed.

Everyone knows that Wikipedia is an unreliable source. That is why people stray away from it, including myself. What I am looking for is actual people to talk to. A forum was my best bet and a forum I found.

Thank you very much. At the moment I am leaning towards what I have leaned towards to when I was younger: Wicca. More research has to be done, however.
