I am interested in knowing if anyone has any experiences at all with this church. I am curious about it and am also looking for people to share what their opinion is of the people who get ordained by them. I want to hear it all, please if you don't mind--good and bad. If there are threads on this already, could you point me to them? I only found one short one between MistoftheSea and Twig. Thanks :D

Anyone can be ordained by them for free by filling out a simple form. When ordained by ULC you can officiate a wedding under certain circumstances which vary from state to state or province to province. For instance, since Ontario (Canada) does not recognize the ULC you have to have a minister of a legally recognized denomination write a letter to have a ULC minister perform a marriage legally. However, in BC one can make a wedding legal if accompanied by an official Wedding Commissioner.

Obviously there is no training involved nor regulation of any sort. I believe there is a thread on this in Political Pagan. Here - http://mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15293

I got ordained through ULC last year and preformed a friend of mine's handfasting. Her husband is in the US Military and they accepted the marriage so it is legit.

I'm ULC clergy. I've found them to be very helpful myself. I've never performed a ceremony but I know they are very helpful if you do have a problem with your ordination. They're a very supportive group.

I was ordained by them a few years ago, but I've never done anything with it. Living in Canada, it didn't work out the way that I wanted it to....not as legit as if I had been living in the states. Oh well.

Does anyone know how to obtain a copy of your ordination? I got myself ordained for future use and never copied off the certificate when they first sent it.

I thought I saved it but it got lost somewhere.

You can't save it, you have to print it out then. I was going to save mine but my printer was broke and I ended up getting one by mail. The site should have info on getting a replacement certificate. They have a Delphi forum that's very helpful as well.
