I'm working on making a Victorian themed book of shadows and these are the first pages I've had time to crank out. They're for color correspondences and I have to warn you, the files are quite large. If you want to put them in your BOS and don't have a color printer, I know you can print out jpg files on CD at Walmart etc...

Here are the links:

So far I only have red, purple, blue and green done. I'm working on the others and I'll be happy to post them when I'm finished.

Please don't post them elsewhere and please do not sell them. Also, please don't edit these images in anyway. I worked really really hard on them and I want to share them with people, not make money off them. Also, many of these images are from the LunaGirl (http://stores.ebay.com/Lunagirl-Antique-Images) Victorian clipart cds and sale of them is a violation of their terms of use. You might check out her store if you like these, she has TONS of clipart for sale.

I'm not sure if I'll keep making these as I'm kind of in a quandary about how I feel about a lot of these concepts (associations etc...). If I do make more I'll post them if people are interested.

Very cool :)
When I had a BOS it wasn't that colorful or creative.

Those are lovely. I have a rather plain BOS that really isn't that creative. I'd like to turn a lot of it into printed material and I'm slowing working on overhauling it. But there is no way I'd be able to crank out things like that!

Beautiful work! Blessings, and thanks.
I printed them up on premium paper and will be framing them for the walls of my purple and green bedroom and bath. I would not like hiding them in a book.
I hope that's OK.

Wow, those are really pretty! I never would have thought to use Victorian style stuff in a BoS, but seeing it done so well is inspiring. Keep it up!

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like them :D Wolfjan, that's such a neat idea! I might have to put a few up around the house as well.

I'll post more as I make them.

Those are gorgeous! I've neglected even making a BOS at all, though I've wanted to. I've been considering scrapbooking as a way to do so, but never really have the time, and when I do have the time, I don't have the money, creativity, or energy!

Those pages are absolutely beautiful and a testament to the amount of time and energy that you have put into them. Well done!

while they are not "my cup of tea", I have to congratulate you on both your hard work and the beautiful outcome. They are very inspiring and make me want to add some pages to my book.

ETA: Where did you collect info from for these? I like that it's more than just the same old correspondences that you see everywhere.

Thanks! The basic information (elemental association with red is fire etc...) I gleaned from print media, recording it along the way in my working book of shadows. The more detailed information like the plant associations I developed based on research into their habitat, appearance and folk uses. Willow for instance, is associated with blue not only because it's bark is used in healing, but because it often grows near water.

Feel free to copy any of the information on the pages that works for you! I know I relied on a lot of sources making them, so the information isn't mine to keep :D

Those are beautiful! I've tried making my pages a little more interesting but they're nothing like yours. Hmm..You've really inspired me. I might have to give my own pages another go.
