I still say I think I should finish losing this weight and then just apply for a job as an exotic dancer. They make so much more money. And dancing is definitely a fun way to keep in shape.

When you get out here remind me to take you to PT's. There's an amateur stage and we can both make some money...
I've been threatening to do it anyways!
And now since I have no Recons wanting my attention I think I'll just say forget it all...

BTW: I'm a work from home mom. I run errands and filings for a local law firm. I sell Avon & Pampered Chef. I homeschool 3 kids. I do periodic child care for the Pagan community. I'm on the BoD of Denver Area Pagan Resources. I'm the lead volunteer for Colorado SpiralScouts. Hmmm... what else can I do to fill in the empty spaces of time?

I'm a full time grad student. I teach freshman comp at a nearby college and soon I will be starting a part time job in a new bookstore/coffee shop/learn to play chess store. I also write scripts for a local production company and am working on a chapter for a philosophy anthology due out next summer.

I'm a scheduler. I schedule the set up guys and the techincal people for events at a major sporting facility. I work parttime (6 hours a day) here and I work every second Saturday at a soapmaking supply place. Heh! That's my favourite job...they pay me to talk about my hobby all day long! :D
My ideal job would be a kindergarten teacher! I mean, how hard can it be to mix up finger paint?! And you get summers off! (j/k...no offense to any kindergarten teachers here.)

Right now I'm a security guard at a hospital. Basically, my job involves wandering deserted, echoing halls whistling the theme to Wallace & Grommet and making sure doors are locked. Two good things about my job: I have a lot of time alone and I have thirteen hours to think about stuff.
Attempted to be a cop. Graduated first in my class at the academy. Found out I'm much too nice and practice live and let live far too assiduously to be able to enforce law.
Taught history for a couple of years in public high and middle schools. Got out because the public education system is a sinking ship, and the band doesn't even know any good tunes to play while we're going down.
Love to write, especially fantasy. I have one book published that has sales that are *ahem* modest, to put it kindly. I'm working on another. Basically, in my neck of the woods, if you aren't in law, medicine, or the oil field you can pretty much forget about prosperity.
In France, all writers are important. In England, no writer is important. In America, only successful writers are important. In Louisiana, you have to explain what a writer is (a quote from Geoffrey Cotterell shamelessly modified for my own purposes).

Oh Wildchild, after reading all your creative posts, I think that you would be an AMAZING kindergarten teacher. I teach sixth graders. Oh, I love the content area, and that kids are at that age where they are beginning to think rationally. My students would sometimes tutor the kindergarten students on sight words and addition problems. Let me tell, those kindergarten students take up so much energy. I don't think that kindergarten is my cup of tea.

I locate, develop and track affordable housing options for low-income persons with mental illnesses, a challenge in this market of ever-dwindling resources. Half of my job is tracking stuff, half is developing stuff, and the other half is teaching people about how to get subsidies and find places to use 'em!
Oh, and I volunteer at a shelter in Salem, hold hands with my friends who are all going through the coping with elder parents stage, cook, clean, and garden for my home, and also do......(drum roll please!) liturgical dancing.
I think I'll go take a nice nap now.

I work in a Native-owned casino as an administrative assistant for one of the many departments. Most of the time I sit at a computer, but my favorite part of the job is working with our guests - there are so many different types of people to enjoy!!

Although that has to change because I gotta make some money therefore I'll end up in some management position I'll hate because I'm responsible.... :ack:

Stay at Home mom here-- so I do a little of this, a lot of that, all for very low pay and lots of Advil. :)
Wildchild- sure, mixing paint doesn't look all that hard until the kids decide to help, spilling paint on the floor, then walking through wet paint, having to mop the floor.... :p
