If you can, how? I don't even know how to use them, but i would love to learn.

YES,
i've just started doing it
browse online and look at the all the different designs you like, read up on the importance and meanings of each card, the different symbology used in each one, and then start designing- just sketch your cards in pencil, then when you are happy go over the design in a thin blask pen, then fill that design in with watercoulour, acrylic, pencil crayon or whatever method you prefer- remember colour is important, check up on colour meanings and make sure you understand them before you colour the card, that way you'll be able to really relate to each card and it's meaning,
use very thick card when you're working ( and recycled card at that) and makle sure that every card looks exactky the same on the back and is exactly the same shape
making your own cards increases the psychic and personal links you'll have with the cards- and really shows that you're willing to spend the time pursuing tarot
p.s
try and make each major arcana card in the order they come- they follow the fools journey and this will really bring that out when you get round to using them
tip-
some people like to mediatate with their cards, or sleep with an individual one under their pillows, you may find you have conversations with the people in the cards, and from this you can really build a link with the cards
treat the cards with respect during and after the making- keep them wrapped in a natural or precious material and dont beat them about too much
now having said all that i've only just made the emporer so i'm not the best person to advise you on this :)

I've seen a couple of personal decks and they are very beautiful. The general agreement is that they get better readings with their own decks. As Golddust said, you know your own images and what they represents personally.

Eventually I will like to make my own cards. Honestly though, I've been reading them for a long time and still don't feel like I know them well enough to actually make my own. It think that requires an intimacy with the symbolism that I don't believe I have yet. Though, it would probably be a good way to speed up that process I suppose ;)

One day I will try to make my own deck... :)
I think that if you decide to go through with it and make yourself a deck of your own, you'll have a wonderful deck that you will have good readings with. But before you go ahead and make it, study each card and make sure that you know what it stands for and what symbols use that will work for you... also peeking at other decks may be a good idea as well, since you might get good hints on how to make your own deck. :)

I think there is a deck out there that you *can* draw your own pictures for the cards. :) Will have to do a search to see if it actually exists (and it's not just my brain playing tricks on me)
Right now, I'm working on making my own tarot deck... So far I just have the Fool done. I'm so slow when I start doing things like that.

Here's a page that tells you how to make your own deck using collage.

It sounds like a fairly easy and fun way to create a personalized deck. I haven't started yet, but I thought I would give it a try someday.

See if you can find the Inspiration Tarot and its accompanying workbook. It is a series of blank cards, and the workbook will help you design your own images. I found it helpful to blow up the cards on a photocopier and make a lot of large-scale sketches and color tests before venturing to make a final version on the one and only blank of each card.
This was also a wonderful exercise for a tarot class I taught. I gave each person one trump, but from about twelve different decks. Then we discussed as a group what was common to the same trump in differnt decks, what was different, what made it easier to interpret, and what made it more difficult. Then each person did their own interpretation of their card, and we discussed why they had chosen certain symbols. It was a wonderfully creative workshop!

Yes you can make up your own tarot cards, even your own oracle if you want too.. so you dont have to make all 78, just as many as you want to :)
Id love to make my own deck but dont have the time .. maybe one day!
Instead at the moment I am painting a shell for the full moon and one for the new with picutres, so far Ive got a love heart, a tree, a sun, a star, and a moon.. and I plan to make up my own oracle from these when I have enough so I can cast them in the bath and read from the ones that float :)
Good luck with yours!!
There are some threads about making your own thread kicking around here somewhere, Ive tried to find them but cant seem too.. maybe someone else knows of them?

I wish I was artistic enough to make my own deck. I can picture in my head what I would want, but if I actually tried to draw it it'd come out awful. I hear they work wonders, as to be expected.
