Brighid's Well is a non-profit organization that will work to enhance community awareness of Neo-Pagan religions, provide support to Neo-Pagans and work to change the laws in the State of California so that neo-pagans are afforded the same rights as other religions in the text of the law as well as spirit.
On June 15th, 2002 at 6:00 p.m., we are having a Midsummer ritual to dedicate Brighid's Well. The ritual will be held at The Witches Grove Metaphysical Shop located at 711 West Lancaster Blvd. Lancaster, California. The number at the shop is (661) 940-9902.
This event has been advertised and the press has expressed an interest in coming. We have also invited several Pagan friendly organizations to come including the Archbishop Bernard Price of the Mar Thomas Orthodox Church.
The Mar Thomas Orthodox Church has recognized the work that local Pagans have done for the community by creating the "Congregation of Saint Bridget". This congregation is currently our legal umbrella offering us full protection under the law as an recognized religious body.
Some of our projects at Brighid's Well will include:
A Food Bank
A Clothing Bank
12 Step Programs
Emergency Hotlines
Fund Raising for Local and National Charities
Spiritual Counseling
We will also work with the local Hate Crimes Task Force as voting members and belong to the local Interfaith Council as voting members.
If you would like more information on the ritual or on Brighid's Well itself please call the number above or contact me by email.
