First and foremost, i tried a search and didnt find it upon looking, so please feel free to "baka stick" me if it was asked/answered somewhere. :)

Anyway, I was wondering about the Goddess Lilith, specifically what panthoen she hails from.....if one at all (I'm in the dark here ;))

Side note: Before I am thwarted :) I'm not refering to the hebrew Lilith......was refering to the Goddess of Vampires/Vampirism

To be honest, I don't know anything about Lilith. I read about her earlier today though in another thread in this Forum. I forgot what thread it is, but I remember that MW member Clover wrote that she connects with Lilith.

Even though, you said that you aren't interested in the Hebrew Lilith, it looks like the myths stem from the Hebrew culture. Other cultures have adopted Lilith into their pantheons though. Hopefully, these two links help.

It was my understanding that the vampiric Lilith was an outgrowth of the Hebrew Lilith. The Hebrew folklore maintained that she tried to usurp Adam's authority. After he banished her from Eden, she would come to men at night, trying to steal their manhood. All this because some guy didn't like women asking him questions? Sheesh!

After reading up on her from those two websites and a mythology book, I got the same information on her, Valnorran. Those of you who connect with Lilith, do you see her as a happy goddess? How does she help or guide you?

I believe the Vampiric Lilith was derived from the Hebrew/Canaanite Lilith in the late Dark Ages. Legends claim she seduced men in the night and killed children in their sleep.

Too many questions? The story I heard was that she would assume a submissive position, in bed the story implied. :D

I view her in much the same way as Hekate, scary as Hél but a great ally to those who are accepted by her.

Here's what I found on Canaanite Lilith.....
